If you can somehow tell the community, make them aware that there IS a mod that calculates your momentum in real time on a gui, using MPK mod
I highly reccomend using v1 for now as v2 is still in alpha/beta, but in MPK's gui system you can have a speed vector label which says your speed in blocks per tick
