Why Minecraft is Dying…

Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

In this video I will be discussing why Mojang and Microsoft are letting us down with Minecraft.
This applies to Minecraft Java edition, Minecraft Bedrock, Minecraft Dungeons and Minecraft Legends.
Mojang has multiple studios, one in Stockholm and one in Seattle.
The Seattle Studio was built after Microsoft Bought Mojang for $2,500,000,000 ($2.5bn)
After multiple minecraft spinoffs, Mojang and Microsoft are struggling to keep up the hype, after Minecraft was revived in 2019 by the likes of: Lazarbeam, PewDiePie, Dream, Tommyinnit, Philza, Grian, Mumbo Jumbo and more.
Also, the releases of Dream SMP, HermitCraft, Minecraft Mondays and Minecraft Championship helped maintain the hype thought 2019 and 2020.
But in 2021 Minecraft started to become less relevant and is dying.
There were a lot of news to do with Minecraft recently and it did impact the game, however the Developers do have to hold themselves accountable as well!

  1. I think the chat report system should be an optional thing for people that own the world, or accounts could turn on their own personal chat filter that blocks profanity just for them, like the way among us did it (yes I know haha funny Sus)

  2. I personally feel like one thing that could help Minecraft a lot is like add lot more to the menus to customize your world, like up the spawn rate of villages or biomes, make caves spawn bigger but less frequently or opposite like just try give us bit of options to mess around but also like dungeon rates or sizes as well

Main thing I thing will help a lot in long run with of course lot more being done else where like new dungeons, options to add challenges or mobs that can destroy the world or not. They have been too much cowardly in addition of mobs that can break blocks

  5. I believe it's because of hytale. Microsoft is ultimately trying to compete with Hytale just because it has more hype around it than any other sandbox game out there and so in other terms making it a bigger game then hytale but well, they are failing at it.

  6. I don’t really understand why people are rioting over the fact Mojang can never keep a promise; it doesn’t make sense to me. I also don’t believe Mojang is intentionally ruining a franchise we all know and love. They just don’t want to ruin the quality and gaming experience for both new and veteran players.

Sure, back in 2020 when they announced the 1.17 update – which would bring in new and game changing features such as improved cave systems, new biomes, mobs, etc. – the devs initially wanted to release this update in one whole update.

However, the devs had to split this update into two seperate parts – one of the reasons was due to COVID-19 arising back in 2020. This lead to the update release being postponed for a while and unfortunately be split into two parts. And seriously, how could you get upset at Mojang because of this reason?

While the first update release was an indication of what Mojang wanted to keep in the game, Mojang had to also go through some trial and error with what was left over. Archeology, the deep dark biome, and goat horns were a few things Mojang had to postpone because of its game changing experience. Since some of the more big features were delayed, such as the deep dark, the devs didn’t want to rush adding these new features too early because they didn’t want to risk ruining the quality of the game.

Once the second update released in later within the same year, everyone was so hyped over the new features. However, archeology and bundles were unfortunately pushed back for further development. Mojang mentions how they want to release these features later on in the next update when the time felt right. So, rest assured these features aren’t lost forever.

But because of this, Mojang isn’t intentionally breaking their promises with the community. They just want to release each new feature to the game (again, which didn’t make into the first half of the update) when the time felt right for it. And no, it’s not because Mojang is getting lazy with its releases and therefore making poor decisions, it all just had to come down with trial and error. No, they’re not ruining a beloved franchise, they’re just tweaking things that needed better modifications.

And like every other game, some people will stop playing big games whether it’s due to burn out or simply taking a break from that game entirely. Some may come and go while others might move on to another game. It happens.

But does that mean Minecraft is dead? Some might believe so. But Minecraft will always be one of those games where people can come back and appreciate how far the franchise has come over the many years.

  7. You're being really harsh on mojang dude… Especially with the caves and cliffs update, They did so much work for it to look like that and your just borderline shitting on it.

Not to mention this entire video isnt even talking about WHY minecraft is dying, Your just talking about minecraft spinoffs and saying that they are shit because they are linked to minecraft, Not to mention Mojang didnt even want to add the chat report system, Microsoft wanted that.

  8. Eh.
It's not a problem that archeology, deep dark and boundles got delayed from 1.17. It's a problem they didn't communicate with us about it during the update development by official media and also doing it crystal clear why. They didn't add Deep Dark because their vision for it changed so much it required additional work they didn't have time for in their 6 months update shedule, in 1.17 particular at that time. The trouble of bundles to work on phones made them delay it plus no timeframe for it again. They announced archeology too early, didn't have time to think it through, don't say about developing it.

  9. The delays aren't the problem.
The real problem is CRYSTAL CLEAR COMMUNICATION. They didn't use their Minecraft media, mainly YouTube, to inform us about the delays. The only thing they informed us about was the Caves & Cliffs Update division into 2 parts. Nothing else. Anything else devs themselves had to answer through their private Twitter accounts. It's disgusting.

  10. The best moves they can do is to remove the report thing and add a shit ton of new content like new ores, ranged weapons, meelee weapons (that are not just swords and axes) and at least 2 more bosses
