Dream’s speedrun cheating saga has certainly stirred up a lot of controversy over the past several months. Now that he admitted to cheating (though unintentionally), it looks like things might finally settle down. But looking back on the whole event, who’s more to blame? Is it Dream himself or was it the Minecraft speedrun mods? Despite scientific papers, an astrophysicist’s involvement and intense back-and-forth allegations, to this day the whole thing remains full of intrigue.

At no point were the more wrong
They simply did their job that they would’ve done the same for anyone else
Dream is the one who acted immaturely saying how he thought he’d lose everything if people believed he cheated despite him literally saying that speedeunning doesn’t even get as many views as his other videos
Plus he he even admits he didn’t even brother checking if he cheated or not he simply blindly defended himself and his fans attacked tons of people
Dream is in the wrong here in the every single way not the mods

Dream is at fault here. I don't see any conclusive reason why the mods are at fault. They caught him cheating and were just doing their job. This will totally make Dream less credible and i expect mods to be more suspicious of him if he pulls another run. He claims people target him because "he's a youtuber". Of course he's popular so many people including people who arent even fans will know of this. People "target him" based on estimation and proven evidence. Another thing i want to mention is that his message saying "oh im in the bath and stuff so it might be more confusing" is gonna be used to his advantage when he gets exposed again(im not 100% sure of this. but i have a small suspicion, after all, he did cheat.)
Me problem with this situation is not that he cheated, but it was the way he attacked the mods without even knowing if he really cheated or not

When I heard he apologized, I was like "Lol wut.", like he was literally proven guilty, it's Occam's Razor. So when he "Apologized" by saying he "Accidentally had cheats on", you know, sounds like bullshit. Hell, he didn't even need to, the people who don't like him would continue to not like him and his fans just believed him through and through from the start.
