Of all the features in Minecraft, none of them scream out “I HAVE LORE” quite like the trail ruins. I mean these are literally the site of a buried civilization. But what are they really? And what do they look like restored? Well, let’s find out.

This is a series called Minecraft VVSauce where I explore random features of Minecraft. Not Secret Minecraft things or Minecraft lore (like Game Theory) or Escape Rooms, but a research based series dedicated to over-answering questions you never asked.

Since when is Wifies Matpat
You have…very inaccurate information, and straight up lazy counting. How was it 1500 years ago, when 30 Centimeters can take that long, and it has 15 Meters? Realy mahn?
watching school history ❌ watching whatever Wifies says ✔
Forgot these things existed
I thought trial ruin is a 1.21 structure
This guy has figured out so much
As always, BANGER
Take a good look into the Indus Valley Civilisation y'all. Saw sum1 comment elsewhere that the Trail Ruins are roughly based on that and it makes a lot of sense now for inspiration.
Didn’t know I would be having a social studies class while watching a Minecraft video
bro put his hole knowledge into a game, What a legend!
I like to imagine that Mojang watches these videos and go "Hm, I never thought abut that before 🤔"
13:26 12000 years actually
they sended us mensages on SUSSY gravel
Me and my friend found a trail ruin and I’m pretty sure that we found a room that had the exact same block pallet as the number 5 rooms in good condition.

13:25 snk/aot reference
There was one room which i’ve seen before which i didn’t see when you were talking about the different parts of the structure, it’s like a massive castle looking thing with 2 towers on each side and are really cool
❤❤❤
im curious about piglins, specifically the zombie ones, why are they in the nether? did they visit the overworld? why are they so common, was the nether just like the overworld once?
My theory 4:33 into the vid: the ancient builders were hiding from the Wither in the trail ruins but he found them so they went even deeper into the deep dark
i remember someone talking about how the mojang developers are the “ancient builders”, and with each update they are just building extra stuff back in time so when the player spawned they would have more structures to explore
Me here discovering that there is an underground part to trail ruins.
Wifies just becoming an anthropologist isn’t exactly what I expected to show up in my feed today, but I’ll take it. Very nice, I love the vid. Minecraft lore is really interesting. Keep it up, Wifies!
