Migration is finally here, after 6 years of Microsoft owned Mojang. That being said, it isn’t required and is not doing anything directly to combat the alt account problem on Hypixel. Hundreds of millions of Minecraft accounts are compromised, and are for sale for literal cents and are sold in bulk, for hackers to then purchase and use to hack on Hypixel competitive minigames. That being said, an easily overlooked detail of the migration may be the key to preventing non-migrated accounts from logging on to Hypixel.

Umm u said that they could use the cape to verify if an acc is migrated but I bought my account after the migration and I didn't have to migrate it soo I didn't get the cape. Does that mean that Hypixel will ban people like me?

What you’re forgetting is that there’s still Microsoft checkers that can crack accounts at the same speed as mojang accounts, migration will impact cheaters for a short time (maybe a few weeks at most) but at the end of the day nothing will change

Yes alt account are going to be more expensive, but its not like the Minecraft hacking community and business is small. They're definitely not going to be $26 though, alt shops like king alts or the altening are always going to find loopholes to keep selling and generating alts. not to mention watchdog can be disabled by 7 lines of code, 400k anticheat vs 3 minutes of coding.
What about new accounts that didn't get the Migrator Cape because they didn't migrate and just created there minecraft account using microsoft? they won't have the cape so will they not be able to play competitive games? I feel like that can't be right.

The Blatant cheating is probably dead but with good configs , good bypasses , or a closet config you can cheat on Hypixel with no problem and there is migrated nfa so no that anymore an anticheat but SFA is dead

turns out that it did nothing tp cheaters because of the gamepass method and also the cookie checking method you can now get a acount for about 0.25 usd at most
