to make the sugarcane farm more efficent, you could replace the block it's on with mud, as mud is not a "full" block, the items can pass through to hoppers beneath it, rather than next to it. also closing it off would prevent the sugarcane from getting stuck on top of the pistons, as well as changing the glass panes to full glass blocks. great video 😀

For the gates I've done open fence gates in the ground with a bunch kf air blocks underneath and a carpet on top, mobs think its a pit but you can walk right over it! Also great video this is super underrated and very entertaining
