Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

This years minecraft mob vote had a lot of drama, but one thing we weren’t expecting was for it to have been botted. I was skeptical, but got in contact with a few individuals who gave me evidence I just couldn’t ignore…

  1. What is this? A mythical rarity midweek misterepic upload? Haven't had one of those since 2020!
I spent 2 days straight on this so you better subscribe 🙂 Discord – https://discord.gg/WGc9UNM

Also, because I can already see the comments, I want to make it clear that I retold the story of the botting from the individuals who informed me of it, and I present evidence for and against the potential botting of the vote. You need to watch the video and make up your own mind.

  2. Like the other mob votes weren't botted.

Also there are people who just dont care about polls on social media, me and my entire friend group voted for the armadillo and we didnt decide to spread it all over the internet

  3. I guess my thinking is, even if the botted votes did go through the automated systems, that doesn't mean a manual review couldn't have figured out which ones were fake… I doubt those votes were perfect enough that a human couldn't tell them apart from one made by the official client. The other thing worth noting is that Armadillo was the second favorite to win after Crab, and honestly I would have guessed that the Armadillo was the most popular one anyway… it really doesn't seem like that much of a foregone conclusion that the Crab would beat the Armadillo. The Penguin winning would have convinced me that there was cheating going on, because it was the least popular in the polls, but Armadillo is less suspicious because it was still a popular choice.

  4. That's funny you say that, the very beginning discredits this whole video. Literally everywhere I went Polls wise Armadillo won. You cant just pick out the crab wins and say it was every single one.

  5. One thing that a lot of people definitely forget (that you mentioned) is that a lot of voters probably don't care for the online community why voted for the crab, and many of them probably just wanted cute dog armour, or maybe even just really wanted an armadillo. Sure, many polls suggest the crab would win, but that doesn't account for the people who don't vote in those polls, or the people in other languages who voted in different polls. I think a lot of people argued that the vote was rigged just because they were mad that the crab lost.

  6. I think it was botted, Mojang probably fixed to exploit but it could’ve been too late, as you probably can’t retract votes manually and the crab seemed to be the winner on all the polls

  7. admit it. yall just didn't want dog armor in the game. you prioritized the possibility of 1 to maybe 2 block extra block placing range…. that is the most lamest thing ever just like the Glow Squid. 1 or 2 extra distance to place blocks? seriously?

  8. While the polls on twitter may be a good representation of most people on twitter, twitter is not necessarily a good representation of most people voting. I think especially the younger audience would not be represented in those polls, the younger audience admittedly making up the majority of minecraft players from my understanding. To follow that up, just looking at the mobs from a utility stand point, the concept of having longer reach would def appeal to most serious minecraft players. However, someone who plays minecraft less, or doesnt take it as seriously would likely see something like wolf armor as really appealing, just due to the universal popularity of dogs in minecraft.

  9. i voted for the armadillo 100% expecting the crab to winn lol i do believe more real players voted than ever before and i think many of them are younger players that actualy think dog armor is cooler than further block reach but im sure there have been illegal votes and i think they would not even been talked about this much if the crab would have won im now interested to learn if there have been fake votes in the past too …

  10. Hello, a certified armadillo voter here. I can affirm that there are other yt channels that did an unofficial poll and can assure that the armadillo won by a huge margin(in those polls). It just depends on your (the viewer) preference of content creator or what content they produce.

  11. Armadillo >>> crab. I mean come on, the only thing you can really do with wolves now is to leave them in your home. Taking them anywhere just means they’ll die or use up all your meat or rotten flesh. Armour might make them actually viable.
And we all knew penguins didnt have a chance

  12. So true. In my class everyone voted for the crab. little people voted for the penguin because it had a cute baby version. but I never saw a single person on discord or irl who would even think about voting for the crab. so rigged imo

  13. In each case, I remain firmly convinced that these are not the updates this game deserves.
They should be adding at LEAST all THREE mobs to the game, each year.
It's not a complicate thing like the cave update has been.

  14. 1) The vote was botted. 2) They managed to get SOME of the malicious votes out. 3) They lied about detecting and removing ALL of the fake votes. 4) The only way to make it right is to check the results without ALL of the IOS devices. If It shows that the crab won, the likelihood of the armadillo's victory being rigged is 99.999999%. Let's be honest, the real IOS users most likely voted the same way as anyone else. 5) Mojang are lazy idiots and ALL of the mobs should be added. They already barely deliver anything, modders do 100x times the work (not even exaggerating here) and they're not even paid by mojang
