Ranking EVERY New Feature in the Minecraft Garden Awakens Update

Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

The Minecraft 1.21.4, otherwise known as the garden awakens drop has been released! This is the first major drop for the game that Mojang has released under this new update system! This drop, while certainly smaller than a major update, has added a ton of stuff like a new biome with the pale garden, a new mob with the creaking, a new wood with pale oak, and even a new ore with resin! So today I thought it would be fun to table every new feature and change from this update from the worst to the best! Plus I threw in bundles too, why not!

  1. This drop bugs me a bit as I feel that especially on bedrock the potential of the pale garden wasn’t fully realised. It should be bigger, no hostile mobs should spawn and the creaking (on bedrock) should have Java spawn rates.

If that was changed then honestly it would be a 10/10.

  2. glad I’m not the only one who thought adding White Pumpkins in this update would’ve been a good idea, serving as a nice reference to an old spin-off while making said item existing in Minecraft Story Mode in the first place retroactively work. They did later add calico cats from the same episode, after all

  3. i think the best way to do these ranking is doing them by semester. one with the updates at the first half of the year, until july, for example, and the other part at the december.

  4. I think feature rankings for each update are the way to go. Your Minecraft videos are some of my favorites, so more of them is nice, plus it's cool to see commentary on newly added features. I think some kind of annual Minecraft video would be cool, but not a feature ranking.

  5. The question of whether or not you should pump out these videos every drop or not really comes down to if you are making bigger or smaller videos surrounding it.

Like, if you have plans for some really big videos it’s always nice to have some smaller snacks in between, but if you are only making shorter content then having a yearly project may be smarter. Up to you, but that’s my two cents.

Also if you ask me I would like the shorter videos because I have the attention span of a… what was I talking about?

  6. So there is ONE bad change and that’s you no longer can sprint boost with the Elytra.

If you sprint then engage the elytra, it will stop your sprint as if you were standing still then engaged the elytra. It makes movement so much more slow now.

There’s also some annoying movement changes that affect speedrunners but i’m not knowledgeable about them. I literally downgraded my world back to the last update over this.

  7. I like this kind of video, but I think it's a bit to tame. Ranking "every feature in 2025" I think would be more interesting, because it would have more controversial/interesting takes. idk

  8. As a dry bones fan myself, i have composed a few possible moves for our lovable bone pile to use in smash:
neutural b, bone toss, a simple projectile that flies straight and slow. [Super mario world]

Down tilt: form into a shell and move forward with a spiked top a short distance, a slide attack [dry spinys?]

Up special: para bones, fly up quickly like olimars optimal up b, but not as quick [mario 3d world?]

Final smash: "dry bomber barage", call in your tank kart and dash forwards, going into a cutscene [i would prefer it be like the landmaster final smash, just with wario's bike speed] and fire multiple bob-ombs, then your fellow undead swarm the opponets to hold them in place for you to charge full speed with the classic strait of alternating drifts. [Mario kart ds]

Feel free to take these ideas, its late and i was thinking about the funny immortal skeleton so my brain is running on a oreo and a will to live. Take care drybones fans

  9. you should make a ranking everytime a drop releases, if there is a situation like this that there was a pretty big drop and a small one, just merge them togetger, but dont make yesrly rankings
