  1. How to survive in minecraft 101:

    – Get wood and craft only a wooden pickaxe, and make sure you have 8 sticks
    – Get 16 stone for furnace + stone tools, now you should make your axe sword and stone pickaxe
    – Now you need to focus on getting sheep, their wool will give you a bed that you can craft to sleep through the whole night
    – Now you need coal and iron, you need the iron for diamonds and just upgrades in general and you'll need the coal for furnaces and torches especially. You can find these in ravines/already generated caves
    – Once you have you smelted your iron with your coal and have an iron pickaxe (And a shield, you NEED a shield so you dont die to mobs) you want to go deeper into your cave until you get into the negatives of the Y coordinate, you can find it in f3.
    – Reach -53, if you cant find -53 then dig down by using a method where you mine 2 blocks beneath you while staying in the middle so that you dont fall to your death but you also can see where you're going and if there is lava/a big fall beneath you
    – Now you just want to strip mine for diamonds

  2. I knew 95% of this. That early-stage nether portal was new, and I had to laugh at the simplicity of it. Instead of going down for iron, you can also go up into the mountains. Not quite a cheat, but it is, and is not, is to start multiple new worlds in creative and when you find a seed you like, including villages in the vicinity (my last long term world was 1,700 blocks to the nearest village using admin location tools, and a nightmare to transport villagers that far), recreate that seed in survival mode. You're going to live in this world for a long time, so it's worth the effort to make it a more desirable world from the beginning. Another noob starter tip is to move to 0, X, 0 and start building your long term base there. No matter what happens, this makes it simple to find from anywhere in the world, especially if you have lost everything. Also, it's not a great idea to dig straight down, but if you're going to do it, do it early game where you won't lose much if you die. Try standing in the middle of two blocks so you can see what is underneath without falling. You can dig straight down this way and avoid falling into lava or falling so far you die. If you have a shield and weapon, stay near your first overnight structure and look for spiders to kill. Make a boat with chest, and fishing pole. You can fish during the night for food, a bow with mending with a little luck, better fishing poles, and some enchanted books. This is especially good if you are not lucky enough to find wool to craft a bed as if you're out in the water, you should be safe from ranged attacks by mobs.

  3. well it may be 1y after the vid came out but still, a little "trick" i use when looting a fortress to make it safer: taking a milk bucket with you can save life by removing wither effect if you happen to get hit by a wither skeleton. Combined with 1 gold armor piece for piglin peace and trying to get a fire res potion from piglin trade (not that hard), it makes fortress like, 10 times easier to loot.
I might not be the only one to do it, and if anyone have already said it in comments sry ^^

  4. I forgot the guy's name, but he built 3 farms on day 1 – iron, crop, and villager breeder. I'm sure he used creative to get the initial resources, but it was all wood, dirt, a handful of coal, some bread, and some stone tools, everything you can easily get on day 1. Everything else came from village. His day 1 iron farm was made using 3 stolen beds from a village, 6 trapdoors, 12 fence posts, 3 wood slabs, a boat, 1 torch, a stone shovel, and that was it. The other two farms he created on day 1 was a village breeder and crop farm. Again, using just dirt, wood, and stone tools, and a few stolen crafting stations and beds from the village. I had zero luck finding diamonds for tools and the enchanting table (after HOURS exploring caverns and finally digging at bedrock), so I just made a fishing pole and fished. In the first hour or so, I'd fished up 2 books with the mending enchantment, so SCORE! Not that I'd waste them on iron tools, but still a lucky evening. I came back here to review how to make the nether portal without a diamond pickaxe so I can get more gold.
