First things first, we will need to download the Minecraft mods you want. It truly doesn’t matter what Minecraft mods you want to install on PC. What does matter is that these mods are all for the same version of Minecraft. If they aren’t, you won’t be able to use them together. In the description above, we have Just Enough Items and World Edit. Both of these are usually on similar Minecraft versions. We also have a link to CurseForge in the description above. This is where most Minecraft mods are hosted, and you can sort mods using the version they are updated to. This is great for making sure everything is the same version.

After finding the Minecraft mods you want to install in 2021, you can download them on CurseForge by going to the right-hand side of the mod’s CurseForge page and scrolling down. You will see the version of Minecraft you want the mod for. Click the orange download button next to the version of the mod that you want. The mod will then start downloading. You just need to keep or save the file.

With your mods downloaded, we can move on to getting the Forge mod loader. This is how you will install Minecraft most on PC and actually make them work. With Forge installed, we can move on to how to add mods to Minecraft on PC. This is actually really easy after you have Forge. Just open up Minecraft with the Forge profile you have in your launcher. Then, from the Minecraft main menu click on the ‘mods’ button. If there is no mods button, you aren’t using the Forge version of Minecraft. Just go back to the launcher and play that version.

In the mods tab, you will see an ‘open mods folder’ button in the bottom right. Click that button and your mods folder will open up. Now, all you need to do in order to get mods on Minecraft PC is drag-and-drop the mods you downloaded into this mods folder. It’s that simple. Now, quit out of Minecraft and open it back up with the Forge profile/installation. Minecraft will now have the mods you want installed!
