About this video: This video is our complete guide on how to install TooManyItems in Minecraft 1.18.1. Specifically though, we are going to be downloading and installing the Just Enough Items mod, also known as the JEI mod, in Minecraft 1.18.1. The reason for this is because TooManyItems and NotEnoughItems haven’t updated to Minecraft 1.18.1 as they are no longer supported. Just Enough Items, however, has completely updated to Minecraft 1.18.1 and has all of the features TooManyItems and NotEnoughItems had. Thus, in order to get these mods in 1.18.1, you will need to install Just Enough Items instead.

The first of getting Just Enough Items 1.18.1 is downloading and install Forge. Forge is the mod loader that the JEI mod uses to work with Minecraft 1.18.1. After you have Forge, we can move on to how to download the Just Enough Items mod for 1.18.1. In the description above, you will find a ‘Download JEI’ link. This will take you to our text tutorial for adding JEI to Minecraft. Once you are there, scroll down and click the yellow ‘Download Just Enough Items’ button. That will take you to the official 1.18.1 Just Enough It’s download page. To download it, scroll down looking at the right-side of the screen. You will see a ‘Minecraft 1.18’ section. Under this, you will see the 1.18.1 JEI mod download. Click the orange download button to the right of this version to start Just Enough Items downloading. You may have to save or keep the file depending on your browser.

We can now move on to how to install Just Enough Items 1.18.1 in Minecraft. To do this, open up the Minecraft Launcher, click the arrow next to the Play button and select Forge. Then, click the green Play button and click ‘Play’ on the pop-up. Minecraft 1.18.1 will open with Forge. From here, installing TooManyItems is easy.

From the Minecraft Forge main menu, click the ‘mods’ button. Then, click on ‘open mods folder’ in the bottom right. This will open up your mods folder. Finally, to install 1.18.1 Just Enough Items, just drag-and-drop the JEI mod you downloaded into it. It’s that easy.
