  1. Something defining about Hermits from Hermitcraft is farms, economy, g r i n d, and SHOPS. I'm pretty sure Empire does trades, but there may be an enterprise to explore with a mini-hermit shopping district.

  2. Tbh what I think a hermit is, a species that builds mega structures like no other a species of builders. Some of the features of a hermit are: a bit smaller than a human, pointe ears, wings to fly long distance to quickly build in hight and to grab materials. Tho this species comes in many forms they are a wise spices.

  4. Hermits are well known world hoppers and creators. They are a smaller species, ranging from around 3 feet to 5 feet tall, and have wings that grow in once theyve made enough progress in their area of choice each world. They are capable of shifting their appearances at will, though most will eventually choose to settle down into one or two looks.

  5. As someone who has mostly only watched Empires, seeing you Hermits entering the server and interacting has left a great impression on me – your members seem significantly more friendly and focused on being social. Hope you guys continue to bring fun to this server!

  6. hermits as a species would probably be fast on their feet social creatures , and probably have like claws and bioluminescent qualities to help them navigate secluded spaces? if we're leading more into hermits as in reclusive beings that came from underground, which is for some reason what i think of when i hear 'hermit species' so, rolling with that,,, there would likely be sub-species' of hermit for those that live in like aquatic settings vs open or cramped spaces etc. so things like glowing patterns, or gills and tails, or wings like maybe an allay? . if the hermit species came from the rift they'd probably be considered aliens? or maybe just cross dimensional travelers so what if they were beings of the void? dark colours but with a space theme, or maybe something more deep-dark esk to combine the two origins? or just like, a species that travels through universes. the ideas are pretty much endless. obviously because each hermit is unique and has their own flair im really leaning towards the sub-species bit lol

  7. The Hermits should have a big camp where they basically live in tents or small ramshackle houses together. They could play into the idea that they’re in a land that they don’t know and until they figure it out, they stick together

Hermits could be creatures that are greedier and progress more than the native Empires human and build more farms mega bases etcetera, they have less brain cells than creatures in the empires universe resulting in far more derp than the Empires universe is used to and love to cause mischief and prank others. Btw imagine if Mumbo re-joins Hermitcraft to find everyone missing and has to reopen the rift to save the Hermits

    Edit: someone else also said that a good name for the Hermit empire would be "Hermit Hollow" (t1 lynx suggested this name) and i think it is amazing.

    Hermits are quite the unusual species. Their people always travel in bands, and let me tell you, do they travel, since it became public knowledge, the hermits have established at least 9 different "hermit-lands", that occupy a considerable big portion of land. Very capitalistic in nature, the apearence of shops, that sell mainly in diamonds, are a big sign hermits have moved to a location, where they trade between themselves and others. Industrialization follows suit, with their most technological experts making massive industrial farms, even the least skilled engineers dabble in their farming arts.
    Hermits are surprisingly peaceful, even if quite mischievous, and have been seen waging "wars" and "revolutions" inside their own groups without hurting their connection. Its believed those conflicts are caused out of boredom. Hermits are a very close together species, always having "events" and "collabs" as they call it. Even if very kind, their close bond can make them deadly, as if a hermit is threatened, the entire group is ready to fight to the death for them.
    They appear to have a mixture between anarchy and a democracy, group decisions are taken with equal vote, but there's no central power, it is know of times where hermits have tipped their toes with monarchy and republics, but as a species they seem quite against formal power, so most rulers end up losing power and being re-integrated in hermit society as a equal. There have been sources about a specific hermit beeing know as a "Admin", Xisumavoid is the most connected to this role. Its still unknow if the role has any real power or is just a way of sharing responsabilities.
    At a glance you wouldn't think hermits are the sames species, as they are visualy quite different, but there are some connections. Their short stature (tho there have been exceptions to this, like the know engineer Mumbo Jumbo) and strong big hands are seen in most hermits. They also have a immense curiosity, never being content with not knowing things, this made them excellent builders and engineers, who always try and learn new techniques and develop their own.

Id like the species to be called Hermitians (Her-mish-ians) and they are as Grian hobbit like creatures physically with the great ability of constructing builds of beauty with their independent mind and live in solitude in their own territory, with this trait they are seen as not cooperative with other races even though if given the chance they wish to show off their brilliant creations with others and other hermits themselves as they can be social. Each and every build all have the personality of the hermit injected into the root of them. Every Hermit has a different design as you know who built what only by staring at the gargantuan structure but if working together can compliment each other literally and figuratively boosting the speed at which its completed ,even more than they would against a regular human (as we saw in the Tommyinnit video). Sorry for such a long comment, i just get really invested in creating lore, I would love to if possible join the Empires SMP its a perfect mixture if everything i love and i cant wait to start watching Grian’s Tomfoolery take place in that universe as well.

  12. Are hermits an invasive species?

    I had several thoughts on looks.

    My first thought is Hermit the Frog. Maybe they look like frogs.

    I also think of hermits as having a ton of stuff, so maybe you can't see what they actually look like under all of the stuff they wear-hoods, robes, armor, etc.

    Then I thought, goblins like stuff, maybe they're goblin-y.

    I also thought hermit crab, like some other people. I would try to turn that into crustacean people, maybe with shell wings or something.

    Or maybe they're little gremlins, wreaking havoc everywhere. Nothing too bad, but like, mischief.

    I also thought of rats. Little agents of chaos that love their stuff and are smarter than you'd think. Stubborn. If they want something, they won't take the easy path, they will take the direct path. They love hiding things. People think of them as solitary but they really love and need each other. With the simulations, you could say they're like lab rats, Very prone to being manipulated. Plus, if you are going to be the ones doing the farming, rats love their food. They can also do some damage if they need to. Also, a group of rats is called a mischief.

  13. Hermits are hobbit like creature but with a different personality. They crave recourses and their ingenuity are unmatched. To catch a hermit, it takes either another hermit, or a very sophisticated button trap. Since they are mysterious creatures, you must keep eyes on them at all times or they will steal everything that isn't nailed down. Hermits are also secluded creatures that keep to themselves less they need help or you've trapped them. When captured, they ill do one task for you, however big, however small, So it is advantageous you traps a hermit to do your bidding.

    I hope this is a good description of what I think a hermit should be. It takes many elements of the hermits themselves and fits them snuggly in the world of empires.

    It will be fun to watch what they do and how each hermit will interact with this new frontier and now, I bed you adeu.
