Hey mattpatt. I really enjoy your vids and have been here since middle school. I’m in high school now. If you ever see this I just had a point I hope you would see. The nether is another dimension, which you mean that it doesn’t have to apply and make sense with earth science, maybe it works differently
If they get souls from the Overworld does that mean there was no life beforehand and it only started after the first adventurers died?
Or like maybe there's a giant source of energy that produces enough heat for those lava rivers and thats the source of energy for the netherworld, not souls…?
I mean little stretch, could just be heat from the core. I mean even without a sun places near hydrothermic vents could keep life in the oceans alive for billions of years
