Etho Plays Minecraft – Episode 585: Ender Chest Storage V2

Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

We are back trying to piece together our massive Endless Storage system. First we need to collect and organize items for an up to date version of our ender chest storage. We use this information to complete all the item filters. Then we work out some final details on how the auto item delivery system will function.

  1. Hey Etho! I don’t know if you already know and have tried resetting chunks, but I think it will be a good idea. As your world is very old and you need to go to new chunks for every update, resetting chunks that you haven’t built on should help you a lot and prevent a lot of lag as well.
Love your videos!! Please keep them coming 😁

  2. I would love to see Ergo play another game like vintage story. I always thought it was interesting no matter what game he played, and honestly Minecraft is feeling a little ragged at the moment, just from how much Etho has done already.

  3. Hello Etho, i have juste a small question coming to me as i watch. Could you have waited for the filters to be hooked, then send fillers in the system to make things easiers on you ?

  4. Currently planning to build something very similar. With the upcoming auto crafter I want an End HQ. A place where my ultimate storage like this is hooked up to a ton of auto farms, furnace arrays, potion brewers and the crafter

I never worked with anything storage tech related & I have some specific needs for my shulker loading system as well. Nice to see someone else go thru the process of that and showing the problem solving side of it

Building an ultimate HQ in the End makes a lot of sense in a longterm world especially if its on a server. The end in itself is way more lag friendly + its easily accessible from the nether & overworld due to the 128 strongholds. Additionally is ez to build in the void. Dont have to dig something out and etc

  6. Ref 3:50 – absolutely, I do enjoy the way you bring all along for the ride with your building! It's partly why I've kept watching for so long, 'cause other YTubers don't do that, and because they don't it feels impersonal.
Please keep showing us the building like you have in the past <3

  7. hey etho! you can power your rails on the top using observers – it's probably a little laggy having them constantly blink, but if you have two observers powering the rail alternating from each other, they'll keep it on. you can get this by having two observers facing into each other two blocks above the rail, and then have two more observers below those two pointing into the rails (note that you do need to push one of the two observers facing each other in with a piston to get the full speed observer clock)

  9. Hey etho don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but I have been watching you since first or second grade and I have now been accepted into medical school. I’m going to be a doctor!

  10. I love seeing the thought process of how and why you build things. It feels a lot more personal and engaging compared to the timelapses and progress updates that many youtubers do. I understand why people do it that way but i always love seeing yhe thoughts that come up as youre building

  11. 29:45 I know by flickering the powered rail through observor clock, minecarts are able to move at a slow but consistent speed in java and that might be useful to collect more items in a single trip? Didn't test it myself but I hope it's works

  15. Hey Etho, happy to hear that you've been keeping an eye on our game! We were not involved in the development of TFC, but we were heavily inspired by it.

Our game is indeed still under major development and will be for many more years. Our next two major updates will likely expand on our endgame content (Lore and Mechanization) and on average we bring out a major update every 9 months. That being said, there should be around 100 to 200 hours of engaging gameplay before reaching the current endgame. Some Youtubers simply revisit the game after 1 or 2 major updates. Hope that helps.

  16. I never liked the external powered rails anyway, would be cool if you could craft a powered rail with a redstone block or something to create one that gives of power. Could even be more expensive

  17. Instead of redstone lamps you could use redstone torches. Then you could keep your 3-wide soulsoil. But a fence gate or a trap door might be even better since it will stop you as you run down looking for what ran out. As for the label, maybe just put it to the right of the barrel.

  18. Could you use water streams under the hoppers instead of power rails? Maybe with ice to make the minecart go faster? That could be slow enough to collect more than just one item as the minecart passes.
