After finding these trees, cut them and make a crafting table if you dont have one, then make a chest and after that, .place all you precious items in that chest and remember the coordinates. Now, just jump into lava and die. You will respawn in the overworld and then just go back to nether and find the chest.
You can make flint and steel in nether using gravel in nether u can get flint and in for iron you can loot a bastion or a fortress or bartering with piglin
