  1. I hate that bedrock is the same for pc/consoles and mobile. the whole game is capped because of mobile. there are many things consoles and pc can handle but they cap it because of mobile

  2. My favorite difference is that axes are good in combat in java, it's fun having an axe and sword in your hotbar and switching to axe when you need to kill only one mob really fast

  3. About f3 menu. Recently I tried Bedrock single player with no coordinates on. And I felt Minecraft differently! Each time I had to come up with a plan on how to find my base, I had to memorize the location, craft maps, and having a lodestone compass finały made sense. I definitely recommend trying this out. And know i consider f3 menu something of a cheat

  4. I play both versions and it is frustrating at times trying to remember what works on which version. I play both though because I started a world in bedrock on console after major surgery that I worked hard on and refuse to give it up

  5. I've been switching between Java and Bedrock a lot recently, but this video covered some differences that I didn't even know about. Like I had no idea that a flame aspect sword could be used like a flint and steel in bedrock.

Idk if anyone else would find this useful or interesting, but I took the time to write out some of the major differences I've noticed since I'm in a unique position where I switch between platforms quite frequently.

Java generally has more features, resources, and mods than bedrock, but there's a few things from bedrock that I miss in vanilla java. You covered the swamp biome mushrooms, salmon sizes, and snowy leaves. I think bedrock has a lot more little details in the various biomes, like the fallen logs that are covered in vines and the different sizes of grass. I think the rotation of the textures plays into that, but it does look ugly when the textures don't tile together seamlessly.

I also think that the color blending looks nicer in vanilla bedrock compared to vanilla java. The blending of colors between different biomes is smoother. The world also picks up a lot of color from the sky during different weather conditions or different times of day. Of course, java has a lot of mods and shaders that can help bridge this gap, but it is nice to have it built into the game.

Some of the crafting recipe discrepancies can be frustrating. Like the recipe for barrels is different and I always forget it in java because the bedrock recipe makes more sense to me (it uses slabs and sticks which seem to imitate the slats used irl). I also love being able to turn the cobwebs into 9 string in bedrock. They are so much more useful than the 1 string you get from breaking a cobweb in java.

I'm not even going to start talking about trident killers, redstone behavior (especially redstone quasi-connectivity), villager breeding, iron golem farms, mob spawning, boats, and weapon strength. 😛 There's just so many little things that get weirder when you start learning more about how the game functions.

  6. ah yes impaling… java edition impaling is so weak, but bedrock impaling is overpowered. i remember in my world i had an impaling V trident. my java friends went on the world and was shocked when I one-shotted a drowned… lol

  7. I really like that a lot of the bedrock features seem to be a bit more logical than java edition, like the salmon bones and the shovel in a boat. A lot of youtubers seem to talk about bedrock edition's minor changes in a negative way, but it's nice that good bedrock exclusive features are being highlighted here 🙂

  8. if i may ask, how do i extinguish the nether fire in bedrock? i'm a new player and playing on mobile, i see java player can extinguish nether fire only with sword even sometimes only with bare hands, when i try it on mobile the fire doesn't go out so i have to close the burning block with another block

  9. Bedrock team also that's nice lol!?!?

  10. Hello Eyecraft MC, great vid as always; I was having a lil trouble with the transitions as there wasn’t much of a pause in between them. I’m not sure if it was to make the video a decent watchable length; however, I find a slight pause, about 3 seconds is nice in between each topic.

I’ve enjoyed your videos/livestreams for a while and have been immensely appreciative of your bedrock coverage; I don’t see many bedrock Minecraft channels that are good with successful content. Please keep up the great work.

    Thank you,
    SK gratefully signing out 🙂👍🏼🔥

  11. Started 10 years ago with Java but I stopped updating my computer, so when I got a PS4 years ago I began Bedrock. It was okay but I felt like I was being cheated with the better redstone workings in Java at first, but now it seems like there’s a lot that Java isn’t keeping up with in some regards compared to Bedrock.

  12. Is there a way to know what area of a map needs to be filled? I thought I filled out 9 maps but it didn't give me the achievement. (I can't tell what tiny area I missed just from looking at the maps)

  13. Question: Do parrots mimic 'baby' hostile mob noises in Java? Or is this a bug?
I play bedrock and they always make baby zombie noises, as well as skeleton clanks and creeper hisses, except they're… high Pitched?

  14. One other difference I found is that the crimson and warped wood are not fireproof in bedrock. I tried using that wood for a hoglin farm, and placing lava on there set it on fire very easily. Funny that it's not fireproof but you still can't use it as fuel
