Why Minecraft Will Die In 2023

Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

The downfall and end of minecraft is near. Minecraft is dying in 2023. Mojang have utterly dropped the ball, 1.19 is a disgrace and 1.20 (the wild update) is looking to be quite disappointing.

Pvp seems to be dying as well, servers like hypixel are losing popularity. Even 2b2t is losing popularity. Why is minecraft Multiplayer/pvp dead?

The quality of content is also getting worse, with only a small few like Rekrap, Dom and Parrot raising the bar on quality.

I discuss these topics, trying to find the root cause of minecrafts downfall.

  1. I think it's more Microsoft bc instead lettings Mojang doing what they want, Microsoft wants to make money from mcpe and mcbe all because of their trash market place (I haven't be there for a entire year) and their stupid pay to play severs, if you know you know…

  2. Hermitcraft is insane in their consistency and I’d be utterly shocked if they shut down before they are all bloody retired. If this game were to die as you forecast I’d be curious to see how they do.

  3. I really hate how Dream stans are everywhere. I think Minecraft lost their charm and meaning, that sucks.

Not to be a Doomer or anything, Minecraft is still good and you can still have fun, it just isn't the same anymore.

  4. Holy crap. This is by far the most respectful and in depth look at minecraft that I have ever seen. Keep making content man. You are really good and I seriously think that you can take this to the top.

  5. I wanted to say that I used to run a adult server where there would be “role play” things you would think would be private as the server was stored on a local server hardware at my house being given to Microsoft felt like a invasion to my privacy when I didn’t choose to share it with them.

But aside from that what pisses me off is I can get banned and my words can get censored in SINGLEPLAYER, this doesn’t make sense when I’m the only one who sees it.

My siblings play roblox but I like the approach they’ve taken where entering your age would let you use more “mature language” then if you were under 13.

Also the game is rated E for everyone so they’re basically false advertising.

The bans are annoying too, I pay for my server, I paid for the game, so they have no right to ban me when I bought a server with my own money, and even worse is as a programmer I could recreate the game in a couple of weeks, but then I’d be missing out playing with my friends on hypixel or interacting with the community.

Also mojang updates makes no sense. It feels like the only ones really working are the designers for the mob votes, other than that there are no new features and the vote itself is dumb as it’s just a excuse for them to not add more content.

  6. This is an underrated video that brings up a lot of valid things about the downfall of Minecraft. Its obvious the game is multiplayer based, and i do believe the chat reporting update did in fact hurt Minecrafts numbers a lot. If newer updates have this chat reporting feature, then there will be people who will not update the game. And since the game is adding new updates with new content. then eventually if they still do not update the game out of absolute boredom, they will most likely just quit entirely. I do feel like the chat reporting system could be less restrictive. But disregarding that, lacking content updates may also provide big downfall.

As for content creators, Minecraft Youtubers are doing one of four things right now. 1 – Slowly dying while still doing Minecraft content. 2 – Moving on to other things. 3 – quitting/hiatus. 4 – being fueled by stans to keep going, but the fanbase will probably start to die down.

Minecraft Youtubers who decide to change their content type is also a big and risky move. Any Youtuber who has tried this may have had their videos of something new not do as well as videos of what they are known for. So for the Minecraft Youtubers who keep going and know that, and are too scared to change. they will hit rock bottom. There are definitely MCYT's who still have a good while left before their run is over. But unless Mojang provides with content that is not lacking

So yeah those are my thoughts. This video was put together very well, so good job and keep up the amazing work. sorry if my rambling doesn't make sense at parts, because i am writing this quite late in the night.

  7. I've been wondering for a while how Mojang could kick Minecraft back into the spotlight, Survivals just boring now, Minecraft is too predictable now. There is a trend, "Minecraft but" that exists because nobody is all that interested in the vanilla game anymore, especially since Mojang produces bad after bad update. After pondering for a while, I came up with a potential feature that could boost Minecrafts popularity.
Recently Among Us made a whole new gamemode, which has brought a suprising amount of popularity back to its quickly dying game. What if minecraft did that? When was the last time we got a gamemode??? What if they embraced "Minecraft but" and added a new mode "Animal Mode" where you could choose a mob to play as, or just randomise. Each mob presenting a new and unique challenge! Can you just imagine what that would be like on a multiplayer server? Fish, endermen, creepers, wardens all running around together!!!! What about an ultra hardcore mode? You need tools to break non fist droppable blocks, all blocks take 10 times longer to break, mobs are more powerful and are smarter. You cannot stack blocks in your inventory, cows and horses fight back. Can you imagine how much of a challenge that would be??

  8. When i first readed the title i was ready to say : who asked . But now watching the video i say you are right , like there is to much Herobrine clickbait on Creepypastas videos , there is no unique content like surviving on a Random seed UHC or Minecraft Dungeons in Minecraft . Like has anyone wondered why now there are thumbnails only with Herobrine and not with other 3 Entitys like how it was back in 1.4 to 1.12 : Entity_303 , Null , Entity_404 ( 404 with completly white skin and red eyes and black marks , i say this description bcz this was the original 404 from 1.4 and now people are st**id and think 404 is Null in a Red suit ) . Like even mods arent unique anymore , for exemple has anyone seen a mod with a Stone Colossus like the one from Nexo Knights or atleast something similar .

  9. Caves and Cliffs should have never been split, it should have been pushed back, or mojang should have given a more realistic timeline. By splitting the update they made the actual update take longer to come out. Modders we’re able to make Cave and Cliffs in a few weeks while Mojang took months. Mojang from what I can tell is a poorly run company.

  11. Firstly:
Minecraft is one of those games where you can do basically anything, so the game cant die, it may not be long before the vanilla survival mode is ded, but the base game makes up an unusual amount of the full game. Most of the game is based on multiplayer, eg: pixelmon, one block, skyblock, hypxel skyblock, pvp, lifesteal, etc.

Secondly, with the thing about one modder producing more than a whole dev team has been adressed to devs, and one of the higher ups responded that he used to be a modder, and he also did more than a full developer team could do, but he said that surely he can’t just straight-up slow down as soon as he joins mojang. The only reason devs work slower is because they go to perfection; its been 2 years and im still trying to find a texture pack that is better than mojangs default textures.

Btw most minecraft videos dont have the name of the game in their title, you should realy be searching by genre instead

  12. I do think minecraft is somewhat dying. But I do see lots of people uploading actual content, Luke TheNotable, Mumbo Jumbo, RekRap, etc. the clickbait could be a big reason for minecrafts death. If microsoft listens to the community, it probably wont die.

  13. I agree with you, as a fellow content creator and viewer myself, and as a player of Minecraft, being original is really hard when almost everything has been touched and things and almost everything has been seen. Minecraft hasnt really done anything interesting so it got stale. But it's a game with infinite wonder and endless possibilities. Hopefully someone will revolutionize the game 🙂

    Amazing video btw! I subbed

  14. Recent minecraft trending videos are forecasting it's death 💀💀

Though I don't think 1.19 the update itself is a disgrace, but the release was one. They were utterly unprepared and I think the community felt betrayed.
    Hoping for better days, genuinely.
