  1. I can’t wait for people to make datapacks that makes the chat super colourful! Thanks for explaining it!
Does the locate POI command find player placed POIs?
Also thank you, I was able to locate the like button with these overhauled commands 🙂

  2. As the datapacks developer, I can say that they did a great job in 1.18.2, they completely changed the generation of the structure and much more! Gave players the ability to create custom structures. Before that, it was only possible to replace them and there were many restrictions, but now at least you can add hundreds of them without any problems. Hate such a great game, why?
I don't understand! They do more work to make it easier for us datapack and mod creators to create mods, datapacks and resource packs for players! And then you play with them!

  4. No relation with the video, but why has the dimension folder been removed from the vanilla datapack ? I saw that yesterday and I'm very confused and worried about my worldgen datapack that I would like to finish in 1.19

  5. Massive respect to you and the Mojang Gang for sticking to your guns and putting up with this increasingly toxic community. I think the creative team may have been getting a little too ambitious for their own good over the past few years; you guys should definitely take a break from crowd-pleasing and work on your announced-feature backlog for a while, take some time to focus on the technical and parity side of things.

Not that I'm complaining. The Wild Update is looking to be rather disappointing, but it's perfectly understandable all things considered, and I fully expect everyone to learn from their mistakes the next time around.

  6. It feels like someone is working on bees finding/staying near their poi (nest/hive) rather than wondering off and eventually disappearing if not enclosed. That would be wonderful, if true! I love having bees free-roaming around the base, but always have to keep a couple locked up to breed when the others inevitably disappear.

  7. With the new chat system all I see is that you're focussing on messages that come from players. If you enabled the setting to only show signed chat, how would "broadcasted" messages from the server work? E.g. many servers use the chat to display information as well. So I guess the server would need to be able to somehow self-sign it's messages which if I think about it defeats the purpose of the system?

  8. 4:29 Dumb question, but is there a way to load structures without having the gravity-affected blocks fall?
Also wondering if the poi/points of interest will include desert wells and dungeon cells at some point, seeing as the /locate poi home command works like a charm.
0:25 Heh. So, no more Wardens burrowing out in thin air, flipping upside down, and flying up to the cavern ceiling? Shucks. I was hoping the Warden would be able to walk on the underside of blocks.
Oh, and seeing as the Allay seems to have very limited application…wouldn't it be more useful if the Allay could retrieve items from chests and furnaces? Then we'd finally have a use for cats sitting on them. Picking up items from the ground seems more the domain of foxes, dogs, wolves, and magpies…I mean, parrots.
