The “Swarms Update” on The Hive was, and to an extent, still is the most anticipated update, in the history of the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition server. However, after over a year of waiting, the update has still not been fully released, and there’s no set date for when it will. This has obviously left many players confused, and in this video, I talk about why no one reads these descriptions. Let me know in the comments if you actually read this.   1. Swarms are still in active development. The reality is, we have a very iterative design process at The Hive. This means the design of features changes throughout the development process, based on what feels right or wrong.

    We want swarms to be good. We don't want another generic clan system, we really want to create a sense of community. The base has a lot of features within it, and getting those features right and to our standards takes time. This is in addition to a year unlike no other, forcing us to focus on scalability, both technically and at a company level.

    Custom servers was/is a swarms feature. So although it might not seem like there's movement on it, custom servers only exist because of the work put into swarms.

    Take our Discord and forum messages with a pinch of salt. They're often a representation of our thought processes at the time, to guage community feedback; it's not a confirmation that what is written will happen. For example, we most likely won't allow you to have enemy swarms.

    Nothing "official" to say just yet, but when we do have more information we'll let you all know =D

  26. I think it will come quick since hive has shut down Java edition to "work harder on bedrock" I think this could be a hint toward the fact that hive is adding it soon

  29. I have my own ‘clan’ in the bedrock HIVE server. It’s called the Republic and I just want to say I am super exited for this update. It will really help with my club.
