You watch hermitcraft? I LOVE it.
I am a bit surprised, seemed like emerald, and coal deepslate ore were easier in 1.17. Seems like it will be more difficult to find in 1.18 even with you pointing those beacon locations where they were found. Copper is still quite hard though from what I have found. I have almost a stack of deepslate emerald ore in 1.17 so far in the server I play on.
I think I'm already in 1.18
Why do I love it so much that Ray is watching Hermitcraft? Is that considered Simping?? … hmm
Didn't Mojang change spawners specifically to spawn mobs at light level 11 or less shortly after they changed the natural spawning to require 0? So they would still spawn at light level 5 in your first example. Unless I'm remembering wrong and they didn't keep that change.
Question does any of these things effect Bedrock Edition as well if not then I leave
i’m sad i really thought deepslate coal & emerald would be some rare exclusive block from 1.17 to show off once we reset most of the server
Don't explore Swamp Biomes until 1.19, as they will be given changes then. Multiple Geode Clusters will make Prime Locations for Bases going forward, with Biomes being secondary considerations to them. I'm working on a Red Netherbrick Base to move out of my Spawn Chunks to reduce Lag.

Before you update to 1.18 you must get a large fern from a taiga village chest because in 1.18 it won't be possible anymore so it will become a rare item

I don't know why they decided to make the simulated and render distance that way, what they should've made was:
Render Distance – You render chunks, and can see all the blocks in the state they were the last time you simulated these chunks, so if a block was moved/changed, you can't see until it enters on the simulated distance, in other words the optifine way to make you increase chunks loaded, but nothing happens on them.
Simlated Distance – The distance that everything is being loaded and happening, where you can see it happening, anything outside of it will not tick.
They changed the spawner so mobs can spawn at light level 11, not 0 (only for mobs who spawn from a spawner)
java is becoming more like bedrock by the second
I think the music is a bit too much, or maybe it's just a tad too loud
SB737 found a glitch in his world to generate those glitched grass snow blocks at his melon farm. He couldn't see how to replicate it though
Nice video, but you're totally wrong about the deepslate coal ore. It is much easier to find it on 1.17 than 1.18.

Ray, your farms are always the best! I needed an iron golem farm and you had a design for one that was simpler than what I had planned (im used to making the huge ones before village+pillage update)

Im not really planning on keeping rares but im glad these information videos exist for those who do keep rares. It also helped me think about what i want for my own transition to 1.18
Why does this sound like an anti-mob farm update? Mob farms have never really broken the game THAT much…
I'm not happy with the biome removal because I spent like 6 months exploring trying to find Modified Jungle Edge and it gets removed and the time I spent is wasted ( I like 1.18 overall, this is the only thing that I don't like )
