It’s time to add another building to the village center, today it’s a butcher shop for our future butcher villager trades! The bamboo farm in the last episode is working great but we need to decorate it and add a new pathway through the forest!

  1. You could decorate the mountain with the red flowers since they are really common in minecraft worlds so if you put em on the mountain it could add a pop of color but also look natural?? Also you could put trapdoors in the water level of the ice and I think that might prevent it? Idk I just know you can place trapdoors in water without it disappearing

  2. Hey fWhip I have an idea for the castle on the mountain:

I have built some forts I built from my time on a creative world. they are built in a more Mediterranean style world but if you would like to take a look at them let me know and I can send some pictures (it’s on bedrock PE so I don’t know how to send a world copy)

  3. I’m pretty sure that if you surround the water with waterlogged blocks like stairs or slabs that the center of the water won’t freeze since the adjacent blocks are waterlogged ones and do not count as solid blocks, which the ice needs in order to form

  4. For ice to spawn, it requires sky access. So you could experiment with different blocks way up at build limit. Im not quite sure about this, but barrier blocks might also block sky access plus they are invisible, but such a solution might require a poll. Or not.. Its your world πŸ˜‰

  5. I can't remember who it was that I saw do this, but I saw someone add an auto sorter on the collection system for the iron farm and they sorted the poppies into an auto bonemeal maker. Maybe do something similar?

  6. I love building in taigas and I use waterlogged cobblestone, sandstone, or andesite slabs to stop creeks from freezing and give a river bed texture, however, that only gives you a 1/2 deep, good for ford crossings though, and good to do when you use source blocks at the top of a waterfall to stop freezing, you could mod a slab texture using the glass texture to make it transparent, alternatively, 2 high seagrasses for a 2 deep river or seaweed for deeper water will stop it freezing (Do not place at bottom of a water fall however, it will climb it and turn the whole thing into a mess of sources), also only sources freeze so I try and use water falls onto source blocks 1 block above the source level of the pool of water so that the surface layer is flowing, the biggest issues are when there is a drop in the water level because of a water fall, this takes some trial and error, however, I use a 2 block rule where my falls are at least 2 blocks tall (Actually falls a block, not just flows onto the top of the source block that is directly below it), have the water fall fall onto a pool atleast 2 sources deep, normally in a configuration where the top source flows away fron the fall and the one below is a layer of sources making up the actual body of water). I also put the water source that powers the falls 2 blocks back so that the water going over and actually over the edge are both flowing, preventing freezing. Alternatively for city builds I use fences or iron bars for grates that also don't freeze because they are waterlogged blocks

  7. Happy new year fWhip! and please keep it up with the amazing builds! It gives great inspiration and tricks for many of us πŸ˜€

About the poppies, it might be a good idea for you to just throw them into an automated composter and produce bone meal to turn into blocks for later builds as the colour fits quite all right into your building palette πŸ˜‰
