Can I join a vanilla server using Back2Beta as a client? I think I might use this on the Paladin Ryan SMP because 1. player list and 2. hopefully it fixes the random game crashes.
once could y maybe review the mod which is on later versions than beta[1.4.5 i think, hadnt been updaded since] but it is a diamond amongst the later lapislasui of mods, it is The Legend of Notch.
Another one added to the pile of mods I need to try.

in my opinion , minecraft looks kinda terrible with HD textures. Its just out of place. also,69th.
it would be cool if your server transferred over to this mod tbh but part of the fun is that its just on a base build of the game
God finally, there you go, atleast THIS mod actually does something as supposed – it fixes and improves an already well made base in ways that does not screw with it, Ive played all kinds of versions, and even BTA, and BTA's claims of being "Better than adventure update" is nothing more than gagillion mods slapped ontop of Beta 1.7.3.
On the other hand – some fixes like stairs not dropping themselves, or wooden slabs not using the right material were bearable, but the fact that they changed it to more adequate state is good nonetheless, so long as the author keeps that balance in mind and simply improves the game without slapping weird blocks, items, structures etc – it will rock.
Is this compatible with your server?
One of these days you're going to run out of mods and will be forced to subject yourself to the original alternate timeline, Better than Wolves. Although that mod is going to update to release 1.6.4 sometime and with it comes the 1.14 textures for some reason, so no idea if it'll fit in with this channel.
