It's probably a water update
The skulk update won’t happen until after the end is updated. Mojang said it themselves that they won’t add a new dimension until all of the original ones are updated. The only issue is that the mob vote so far seems to be focused on water themed mobs, so I’m not sure this will be an end update despite how badly I want it to be one.

For the mob vote two have been announced: the crab (gives you a claw that makes it so you can build farther), and the armadillo (drops something that you can craft into dog armor). Can wait for the third one.
