  1. In my opinion, they should really just update the old mobs already. When the zombie pigman was replaced with the zombie piglin, only a vocal minority of people were complaining about it. It was a clearly superior update to a mob that honestly looked really stupid originally. They’ve already changed many, many major things in the game relating to the appearance of blocks, items, and the aforementioned removal of the pigman, so there’s no reason they should continue holding back on this. In my opinion, the squid needs an update the most. I don’t care if it’s funny, it looks pretty horrendous when put next to the much more well modeled and better scaled fish. I for one would welcome it being smaller, more detailed, and being able to put it in a bucket

  2. The Sniffer kinda reminds me the Yak from StarGate (1994). Right now im not a single bit hyped for the Sniffer, given it will only find some rare seeds which as far as i know are only going to generate some decoration plants… They could however allow players add a Saddle to it and right click it with some naturally generated items and have it track those, it would make it easier for players to track certain biomes or even dungeons.

  3. LOL – it would be easier to see that yellow block as a nose if there were eyes you could see somewhere else. I cannot look at it without seeing black eyes on a yellow face. It wasn't until reading the comments that I realized the black squares were meant to be nostrils… Aren't nostrils usually at the bottom of something's nose rather than at the top? And where are the eyes? If that's a giant nose, I personally find it very disorienting. As a yellow face, I think it's cute that it periodically raises its eyebrows like that!

  4. I love when they add fantasy creatures that aren’t necessarily from the fantasy genre. The ghast, creeper, strider, mooshroom, enderman, shulker, and yes even the phantom are part of what makes Minecraft feel like its own thing. It’s one of the reasons I actually preferred the glare to the allay. They seem to similar to fairies or pixies. The glare had more of that Minecraft feel. I wasn’t sure about the sniffer at first but the detailed texted being sort of moss like and the animation they’ve added have won me over.

  5. My issues
    -Too skinny
    -Too Tall
    -Too Big Of Snoot
    -Too Shady Of Colors

    -Make Width Bigger
-Make A Little Smaller At Least A Couple Inches Shorter
-Put That Snoot A Little Farther Back That Buddy Gonna Be Smelling My Fears
-A little Bit More Vibrancy Would Be Nice

Also That Sniffer Animation For SNIFFING Is Very Spontaneous And Feels Off

  6. You m ay have got sick twice because there's that reparatory bug, and the flu going around. Lots of people have been sick, and just can't seem to shake it off. You're far from alone there.
    Plus there's that other bug.

  7. Don’t care about the animations or it’s size, but just why? I hate that they just make stuff up to add when there’s literally millions of real animals they could add. I kinda like the semi-realism that Minecraft have been using for years but the past couple mobs added are literally just things they made up just to add to the game so they can say they did something.

  8. I think all they are doing this upcoming 1.20 are all about visuals. The animations, camera tilt, textures, rendering, new features to existing items, etc. They might retexture old mobs with it. I wouldn't be surprised if the update is called similar to "visuals update".

  9. I hope that old mobs will get new animations at some point, looks really cool to see the sniffer be so full of life and then you see the older mobs move like someone stole their souls.

  10. So still a bit unclear, so the sniffer's function is to only snif, nothing else?

If the future will it be sniffing for something or maybe if you feed it a carrot or gift it some gold will it snif out gold or dimands that would be a cool feature feed if honey it will find a hive, gift it something it will sniff out that item or object. Just a suggestion.

What happens if one would slaughter the sniffer what does one harvest from it'd corps? Leather, flesh, fat, meat, bones?
How does one bread them or only randomly spawn?

  11. I personally think that there should be a "mob update" or something along those lines. at least an update that includes the animation and details of the mobs. this is something I've been saying since the fox was released. I dont like that it can lay down and no other mobs (except the pet kitty) can do this. why can't pigs lay down? or sheep? or chickens? you get my point. this has frustrated me for years and I fully believe they can update these mobs without taking away from the game. they're still going to be iconic, I dont think they'd change their look that much, just enough to fit in with the other newer mobs. even if they don't change their look they absolutely NEED new animations.
another thing to compare that just frustrates me, look at the sheep, and compare it to the goat. WHAT. the goat has visible wool draping down and has so many more fun animations. the sheep is super plain in comparison. another thing is the frog, it even has a swimming animation, no other (land) mob has that!! this absolutely needs to be addressed and you are the only person that I've heard say this out loud.

  12. may be a dumb question but i’ve recently gotten back into Minecraft and started a realm on bedrock 1.19, will all of the 1.20 changes will be updated there as well? or will i have to start a new world?
