Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

minecraft is getting a whole lot more scary… 21w07a changed a couple things but possibly the biggest one may have to do with ore generation. coal is changing forever in the cave update..

  1. You can make your brightness more btw. Ahem

If you press the windows key and R type in %appdata%. press .minecraft and scroll down until you see Options. Press on it and on your 4th row (or scroll down a bit) it says gama. It will probably say 1.0. Delete it and write 100.0 press files on the top and press save. Reload your minecraft and boom your brightness for grimstone is better.

  2. I'm sure it's his skin, but doesn't it look like he has jewelry on? Gold bracelets? How cool would that be if they added jewelry that you can enchant?? Maybe that was a little Easter egg? Lol, I'm probably thinking too much into it

  3. Branch mining will change forever come the next update too, no longer will level 13 be profit.
Going off that 1.17 chart, there is no longer any level in Minecraft that you can find every ore in the game.

  4. Damn, this new generation is actually crazy. Coal being closer to the surface will make torches really scarce deep down. You’re gonna have to rely on potions to be down there for prolonged periods of time. And sure, there’s WAY more diamonds down in the depths, good luck finding them tho

  5. IMHO, minecraft should have new light sources that are brighter than 15.
    Flood lights, basically.
All the new light sources we got, were either as bright as jack-o'-lanterns or dimmer. Soul lanterns/torches are dimmer too, which annoyed me. Why have them when they can't light up a larger space?

So, I propose a kind of amethyst lantern, which maybe can focus the light or something. For example, light up only 180°, but at level 30. The reason being that amethyst is obviously used for the lenses in spyglasses, so why not make lenses for lanterns too?

  6. I am still partially on the fence about some of this. I feel like the caving aspect does change the whole game because it is now more of a Cavecraft game, not Minecraft. I will miss the mining aspect to the game, if massive caves are everywhere and the ores are just out in the open. I do think coal should be available lower, not just for torches but also if someone wants to smelt items to make better tools or armor instead of having to go back up to a specific level, which can end up being more tedious than strip mining! Perhaps the lichen can glow more, because everyone is going to end up using night vision to get around (maybe Clerics will start selling it??) and the point of the dark deep will be moot. Grimstone is harder to mine, too, so tools will wear out faster. I don't want the caves to be everywhere. I would rather be mining regularly and then when I do find a cave it would be something grand and special, with more various ores spread around and the only place to get grimstone. Just my thoughts, but I want a bit more balance to the game.

  7. What if in the deep dark to make it even more creepier.. They make it so torches don't last forever.. Like after however long in-game there's a chance that they'll start going out and you'll be left in pitch blackness.. And they can make it so there's a gradual darkness that envelops the deep dark

  8. Back I I first played Minecraft, feathers would only drop off Zombies and all animals were just temporary spawns. Food would instantly heal you and steaks would not stack.
