  1. Youtube REMOVED a video that warns about DIY which already killed 34 people and keeps the DIY videos up on their platform.

There are hundreds of videos on youtube about fractal wood burning that shows a DIY method of making wood look nice which already killed 34 people in the US, UK and australia. Those videos ARE STILL available on youtube, and they do absolutely nothing to stop this trend.

A youtuber called "How To Cook That" exposed this DIY method, explaining that using a microwave transformer into creating high voltage electricity will kill you if you touch the set up anything near it. The voltage that is being used is so high that any person who gets shocked will be dead before hitting the ground.

What youtube did? They removed the video, that's it.

Now there are a sht load of videos on youtube that shows the this extremely dangerous DIY and does not even attempt to remove it from the platform. Those videos are making hundreds of thousands of views, potentially putting at risk hundreds or thousands of people.

Please spread this information around reddit and discord servers, to inform people about this horrific trend that is going on on youtube and other social media.

  2. Sure, they banned NFTs, doesn't matter to me because theres no point playing anymore when anyone with bad intentions can get you banned for no reason at all, all you have to do is type anything into public chat.
If your a constructive player that helps others your going to find conflict and those people can report you, its already proven there is no human moderation in chat reporting, instead its like a 3 strikes your out automated system.
Or if you like to go find trouble and stir up drama your playstyle is literally extinct, and those people are half of what made the game interesting…
So whatever, Minecraft could use all the NFTs its wants and it wouldn't make a difference to most of us anyways because the game is broken.

  3. i do believe that in the future we'd use crypto but nfts are just plain stupid, it's like buying a painting, you can get someone who's really good at painting then get a really good painting expert to look at it and they would be able to differentiate between the two.

crypto's are definitely going to be a thing because in a lot of countries people use their phones to buy stuff, people now rarely bring paper money for anything

  4. At this point the word 'metaverse' physically hurts me. It's appalling that people think it's a cutting-edge, newborn term when they're functionally just MMOs, which have existed for two decades or so.

  5. thinking abt the nfts in video games reminds me of when ni no kuni for mobile came out or something. i was in the discord server and the mods were like "no its not nfts dont get it confused ^_^ thanks" but it literally said in their mission or whatever that they plan to implement them like!?!?! made me uninstall immediately.

  6. physical scarcity is because of patents – its still artificial by companies – the car company could ramp up production or make the patent public (ykwim) so others would ramp up production and the fancy car wouldn't be as scarce

  7. yeah theyd never implement cross game purchases… we cant cross platform games, they want us to repurchase them so i dont see them letting you take skins/purchases from one game to another

  9. also i love how NFTs and DIablo are hot topics right now but things like lords mobile exist that people promote that are literally infinitely expensive. there is no being the best even if you spend millions lol

  10. No not you too… this is clearly minecraft doing damage control. AND ITS WORKING. Of course minecraft wasnt gonna add nfts to their game, everyone would hate them for it. Not to mention that nfts have taken such a steep downfall that the finacial incentive is mediocre at best. They just made this in response to the new chat system in minecraft. Dont kiss their feet yet

  11. To be honest, I do feel that there might also have been a PR element to their decision as well, what with their cancelled/scrapped features, their statements on concept art as well as the now-definitely implemented chat reporting system on Java Edition. This might be one of the few, if any actions that Mojang has done that are even remotely defensible in the year 2022.

  12. Computers are built upon decades of some of the smartest people innovating, and improving on technology, and we are using them to trade a bunch a glorified squares arranged in a grid with no monetary value. WHY.

  13. Curious, they disassociate themselves from NFTs after they crashed, which meant they cant really profit from them anymore.

Well atleast they didnt actually make official mc nfts while the trend was at its peak, to my knowledge
