A minecraft sequel should be called InvCraft, and it's a game where you manage an overflowing, highly limiting inventory. Same game, then. Also needs permadeath – where once you die, the game is deleted from your computer and you can't purchase it again.

I've been playing the realism craft addon for so long that vanilla seems so dull.
i like the idea of permadeath. makes me feel challenged to survive yknow? besides, not like its easy to die like in minecraft right?… right?

This new game probably won't be anything like Minecraft. It will obviously have some aspects, but It's gonna be a whole new game, not a sand box.

That final screenshot really reminds me of Notch's old game before Minecraft called "Legend of the Chambered". Fun Fact: A lot of textures in that game were reused for Minecraft. Notably the Lether Armor, Apple, Iron Sword, and the Infamous Quiver were from the game.
I think levers was supposed to mean buttons to open something. And chest means loot. Since it's a random loot game, maybe the game will be you stuck in a world with tools you find from a chest you find to survive. And eventually found buttons to open the next level or something.

Did everyone forget that Notch is a Neo-nazi? Like are we far enough out from that that nobody remembers. Because he is fully alt-right, that's why they scrubbed him from the game – just saying.
