Does this island really have no Mobs they need to watch out for? And can they find a cure for the mushroom infection??

In all the episodes, Stan is always a dumba$$ in everything he do.
1) Tried to build a portal, fucked it up n light everything else on fire but not the portal
2) Tried to build a fence n a creeper blew it up to streads.
3) Assumed that no mobs would spawn on a mushroom island, screwed it over n a phantom spawned.
