Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

Minecraft has a ton of hidden references and easter eggs just waiting to be discovered. This is the history of the game’s various secrets that I guarantee you didn’t know. Part 1 of this video was almost 3 years ago soooo I think it’s fine to release a sequel (with a few callback music tracks to the original :))

This is a series called Minecraft VVSauce where I explore random features of Minecraft. Not Secret Minecraft things or Minecraft lore (like Game Theory) or Escape Rooms, but a research based series dedicated to over-answering questions you never asked.

  1. Actually, players named Notch dropping an apple was a reference to a crafting list a friend of mine made waaaay back, where as a joke they said that you could craft a golden apple (which did not exist yet) using 8 gold ingots and an apple. As apples were not at that point accessible in normal gameplay, they also joked that you could get an apple by killing Notch. (Said friend also made one of the earliest mods for Minecraft back in Classic, some powerful third-party server software)

  2. just commenting this here in case Wifies (or anybody else) is curious: I believe the 'we apologise for the inconvenience' message in fire from the infinite snapshot is a reference to the 4th book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, where that exact message is written in fire at the top of a mountain as God's final message to His Creation

  3. And lo, here is a story about a talented man called wifies who had lived in the beauteous worlds of minecraft for 27 years, fighting off zombies ever since he was in the womb lmao XD ;D

In the mystical realm of Minecraft, there was a legend. A legend of a man known as Wifies, who had spent his entire life navigating the blocky landscapes, crafting incredible creations, and fending off hordes of zombies. For 27 years, Wifies had lived in the beauteous worlds of this sandbox game, honing his skills and becoming a true master of the craft. Wifies' journey in Minecraft had a remarkable beginning. He was born into a world already fraught with danger, as his mother had been playing the game while pregnant. His first cries were not of a newborn, but rather a baby zombie lurking in the darkness. It was a chaotic and perilous start to life, but one that had unwittingly prepared him for the challenges he would later face. Over the years, Wifies had bested every foe Minecraft had thrown at him. He had conquered the Ender Dragon, explored every hidden cave, and built magnificent structures that defied the laws of physics. Yet, for all his accomplishments, he yearned for a new challenge, something beyond the familiar pixels of his beloved game. One fateful day, Wifies received an intriguing message in his Minecraft inbox. It was a mysterious invitation to an escape room. Not just any escape room, but one that was rumored to be almost impossible to solve. His curiosity piqued, Wifies decided to accept the challenge, eager to test his skills outside the realm of blocks and mobs. The escape room was located in a remote corner of the real world, far from the comforting familiarity of Minecraft's landscapes. It was a dilapidated building with a foreboding atmosphere, and Wifies entered with trepidation. Inside, he met the enigmatic escape room master, a man known as Vortex. "Welcome, Wifies," Vortex said with a sly smile. "You may be a master of the virtual realm, but can you escape the real world?" The room was a maze of intricate puzzles and traps, each one more complex and devious than the last. Wifies' Minecraft skills were put to the test as he solved riddles, deciphered codes, and navigated a series of physical challenges that pushed the boundaries of his real-world capabilities. Hours turned into days as Wifies grappled with the puzzles, the relentless countdown to escape ticking away. He used his problem-solving skills honed in Minecraft, his instinct for resourcefulness, and his unwavering determination to break free. It was a rollercoaster of emotions, with moments of triumph and despair. But as Wifies approached the final puzzle, a sense of calm washed over him. He realized that his virtual adventures had prepared him for the ultimate challenge – to never give up, to think outside the box, and to embrace every opportunity to learn. With the last piece of the puzzle in place, the room's door swung open. Wifies had done it. He had conquered the impossible escape room, proving that his skills in Minecraft were a testament to his intelligence and determination. Vortex was genuinely impressed and extended his hand to Wifies. "You truly are a master, not only in the pixelated world but in reality as well. You have earned your escape." As Wifies stepped out of the escape room, he felt a sense of accomplishment like never before. He had proven that even in the most challenging and unfamiliar environments, his Minecraft-honed skills could shine through. The legend of Wifies continued to grow, not just in the blocky landscapes of Minecraft but also in the real world, where he had shown that a true adventurer could overcome any challenge, no matter how impossible it may seem .πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€
