  1. I do feel bad for etho when it comes to mod packs because basically they’re either “grind 10 billion cobblestone,” where combat doesn’t matter because you get busted through tinkers in like 2 episodes so it’s all grinding
    OR
“Suffer. Just suffer. Micromanage everything. Crafting tables take 6 steps now. I hate you and die”
Mod packs have not a lot of good balance and a lot of them become “solved” eventually where it’s just a time sink instead of a challenge.

  2. Thanks for continuing this series, Etho. I always really enjoy seeing you go through TFC because I don't have the patience for the initial grind, but it's really fun to watch you progress through it, especially to see you learning all the mods and interactions. As a side note, I don't know how often you'll be using the immersive engineering blast furnace you just made, but there are usually blast furnace pre-heaters that go with it. You can attach one to either side and power them from the top to pretty significantly increase the speed of that furnace. Also automation is pretty easy – items go in from the top, steel out that little hole at the front, and the slag out the hole at the back.

You might also want to look into making the immersive engineering revolver. I don't know what the power difference would be like compared to the blunderbuss you're using, but the revolver can hold 6 shots at a time, can have it's stats including number of cartridges held upgraded, and can be 'quick reloaded'. Plus, you can recycle the shells so it saves on resources!

  3. I find myself enjoying this series on-and-off, even though it's not my favourite. I'm really thankful for your videos. They make me happy when I'm feeling down. Thank you for all your hard work, Etho!

  4. The first time I watched etho, in the mindcrack days he had just made a bed on the series and when I rediscovered him a few months ago I saw that he had 40 episodes and I wondered if this was the same series, I guess he just lost interest, anyways keep up the great work man 👍

  5. The weird glitch where there's a cow on your head is from a steam gauge that is sometimes in one of those structures that look like a forge (the very common small ones with anvils/pipes etc.). Either go out of range of the structure or break the gauge which you'll find kinda floating near the pipes.

You can recycle tools/armour by melting them in the forge, on some you lose a few ingots but you can recycle almost all TFC metal armor/tools/weapons.

  6. I watched this anime called Dr. Stone recently and loved it, but it felt very familiar for some reason. Watching this episode of TFP, I realized it felt familiar because of you, Etho! 😂

Also, TFP looks like the hardest but most satisfying modpack to play by far. Like, NOTHING is worthless, every little step forward is a huge achievement. And I'd love to try it out too, but I don't have the time.

  7. Man, I love how weird things suddenly become valuable or special. Like dirt or a simple furnace – and all the uncertainty if they're even in the game. That's REAL exploration and discovery! So cool!

  8. A squirrel on the track!! I think it's only a hitchhiker! Just wanted a ride to home for Christmas!

Yeah, I love when you play this mod the way it's not meant to play! Twilight Forest, get ready to meet your smartest visitor, The Etho!

Merry Christmas for you, Etho the Greatest!!

  9. I remember once you made a blaze spawner with water before, i think it was on one of the old servers, you were able to break ice in the nether i think , you had a source of it in the ceiling, you made collums that came down

  10. U should look into FTB interactions, its very fun and nice progression with tech and magic. I warn u tho, it's Gregtech based wich means a lot of machine's for a lot of micro crafting but luckily u get logistics pipes reletively early, I would love to see what u do with that pack (1.12.2)
