🛠 Mechanics: Mobs will spawn in the dark room and fall 32 blocks to their doom. The hoppers will collect the drops and put them into the chests.

You will get gunpowder from creepers, bones, arrows, rotten flesh, and occasional witch drops.

The afk platform needs to be 12 blocks above the chest to ensure the spawning room is between 24 and 32 blocks away from where the player AFKs. This is the range where mobs will spawn and walk around, and they will not often despawn. The slabs on the spawning room’s floor will ensure no spiders will spawn and clog up the drop tube. Yes, they slabs need to be placed in that exact pattern to avoid spider spawns.

If you are on a server you share a mob cap with your server mates. This means that the rates will not be very good if your server mates are on the server while you are using the farm. If you are on a server I suggest AFKing while nobody else is logged into the server.

Build the bottom of the structure 130+ blocks above any spawnable surface to ensure the only spawnable spaces are in the spawning room. If you build the farm too low, mobs will spawn on the ground, or in caves, which will negatively affect results.

We made the drop 32 blocks to ensure the witches meet their doom. The creepers, zombies and skeletons only need to fall 24 blocks, but the witches do need to fall 32 blocks. The 32 block drop ensure the witches do not fill the mob cap and negative affect results.

The campfires will make sure the mobs with feather falling boots and the zombies riding chickens will meet their doom. Both of these mobs will survive the drop and fill the mob cap if the campfires are not their. The camp fires are optional and increase the farm rates slightly.

Make sure the roof of the spawn room is made of bottom half slabs or is light up well to avoid mob spawns on top of the structure.

😜 Materials List
11.5 stacks of any slabs (I used polished andesite because it is easy to count)
8 stacks of any building block (I used polish andesite)
12 ladders
2 water buckets (8 would be easier)
4 campfires (these are optional, they improve rates slightly)
4 chests
4 hoppers

  1. if you want to also get xp, then make it 23 blocks high, so the mobs are one hit. I also recommend making the actual spawn area two layers high. (im gonna try to make it two layers high and see if it's more efficent).

  2. Really hard to follow, keeps skipping really important steps. I try to build, think I have everything the same, then it turns out half of what he did he didn't show. 2/10 would not recommend.

Also, at the beginning he didn't show that we need a bed on the material list. I see why it's important, but maybe next time put ALL of the materials needed instead of just most?
