5:14 the custom worldgen wasn't taken away, but moved to the datapack config. Datapacks now can create truly custom worldgen with the density functions and noise settings. So you don't need mods to modify it, but datapacks.

What if the End Islands with different biomes are alluding to an End update with more structures and biomes in the End!

Tbh there wasn't a lot to see. I feel like the other Minecraft Live announcement trailers always have interesting details to look into, which never lead anywhere, but they're still fun to analyze.
My "reading-too-much-into-it" guess is a Skylands dimension. Maybe even a levitation beacon (creative-flight within a radius of the beacon for building). Perhaps the desert/savanna biomes will be included in this update, or, the ocean/desert/plains(?) biomes they showed may be another biome vote, or biome-specific mobs.
The previous live trailers have revealed little to no things about Minecraft’s next update, so I doubt it is an end update.
I feel like the Live Trailers don't ever foreshadow things to come in upcoming updates. 2021 features a lot of things that made me feel like an end update was coming with he endermen and end eye featuring very heavily, but that was the Wild Update, The Train to Minecraft Live 2022 didn't give me any vibes about what was coming the the unnamed update (at the time) nothing to indicate a camel or archaeology or bamboo blocks, etc. so I would not put too much stock in this video without seeing something explicitly new.

Really hoping they quit with the Minecraft spinoff games and just focus on the main game this year's Minecraft Live. If they want a new game, I'd be cool with an entire new IP. Last year's Minecraft Live felt like 95% of it was just talking about spinoff games, or just stuff I could care less about (to me at least, if you liked it more power to ya), and that final 5% ACTAULLY talking about the main game and its update.
I want to control a wind cannon that knocks players around. Buildable map hazzard, or fun toy to place in your base.
They make the distant horizon mod a minecraft thing. Look how many different biomes you can see in the distance. Thats on purpose i'd say
I dont think it has anything to do with anything, but the dessert temple on the island in the background have green details instead of red/orange
One huge thing they should focus on, is to make the Minecraft Launcher easy to download, update and use for anyone who plays on PC.
My friend didn't update his launcher when they had the option to do it directly from the old launcher, and now he cannot download it or run it regardless of what he does.
Similarly, my old laptop has lost the ability to start the launcher. And there doesnt seem to be any way to fix it.
Let me know if anybody has solutions for this, or if can speak to the Devs directly to get this fixed with the next update. This includes fixing issues with the Microsoft store, so probably not a high priority for them.
i noticed that one of the floating islands in the deep dark scene is the mini "portal" statue as well as the main city center hmm
Nothing related to minecraft dungeons. I would much rather see stuff for it than minecraft legends

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the element animation did nit have any information about upcoming changes during preparing this animation. Last year animation didn't have any hints about 1.20. You could say that the mobs were travelling and the 1.20 was about adventuting, but I dont buy it. Also last year the minecraft live was also on 15 October.
Will mojang announce the new update or next year
