I think the block thing might be a lodestone that could be used with a compass track players if they have it in their inventory. Maybe it could also be tracked as an item on the ground?
Maybe the weapon is a beefed up axe? Like the pillagers use?
The thing inside the block is just a chestplate tho. Maybe.
My theory:-
That block is a thing used to activate small portals in ancient city and it will activate the main portal ,so new boss is coming 😅

The thing in the plank looks like a bucket to me like isn't it possible that mojang employee was trying to do a water bucket MLG and failed to show the new item/weapon?
5:31 this is two items, a stick and something else, look at the shadow.
What if the new weapon requires the wind charge. If the player used it on the weapon and suddenly reached new heights. It would explain why they died from fall damage and it would make sense for the new weapon to have a special ability against mobs or other players.
The block is new the other two is the bottom of a fishing rod and a bucket
The lines in the plank look like two emeralds.

1:40 – the block is clearly a new block; keep in mind: it's not a full block either; it looks to be the size of a mob head.
1:42 – there is nothing weird here; it's a wood plank, with 2 emeralds in front of it and what is probably a water bucket inside sticking out from the bottom.
1:57 – all we can see is a stick or a handle or a tool with a long handle (i.e. not a sword).
2:01 – that grey part is NOT part of the tool the stick is attached to. The angles on the items are different and don't line up. They grey thing is probably another bucket, a clay ball, or a snow ball. The orange part of the grey blob is also at a slightly different angle and is curring through it. The orange stuff at the very top of the screen reminds me or blaze powder or a fire change, but it could actually be a new item, since this update doesn't really focus on blaze powder or its related items. However, the orange stuff could very well be part of the tool attached to the stick. The trial chambers don't have a lot of gold tools currently, so this might just be a new tool.
2:26 and 2:28 – those are all trial keys.
2:36 – that being a nether star or trident doesn't make much sense. It has 9 diagonal pixels that seem to be quite bright. It's not a wind charge, a snow ball, paper, a nether star, a stick, or any tool handle. So, it might also be a new item.
3:11 – that's false; the new item has an 8×8 texture. Either you can't count or your perception is just tricking you.
3:22 – again, no; the conduit is a 6×6, and the new block is an 8×8.
7:26 – it does NOT seem to be any of the items from the death screen post.
Does anyone know what the song playing in the background is at the beginning to 0:19 and again at 1:25–2:40. I know it and it's on the tip of my tongue, but I just can't name it.
