  1. Well it's simple : Nature in Minecraft is for everyone.
Property is a creation of human minds but has no meaning in the outside world. Nothing is yours, neither what you worked for nor your own body. You are an event in World's history, are most likely to change it but it will still exists after your death. You are not important, you are not the center of the universe. You own nothing and are just part of a community. You can work for yourself or for others but understand that nothing you produce gives you a "right" to claim this thing.

What if I dig a block in Minecraft and then put it back. Is this block mine now ? was it when I had it in hand but not anymore ? was it mine all along ? See, i t doesn't make any sense.
Minecraft is not destroying our world, it's giving us the freedom to do whatever we want. The problem however is that you are allowed to think that you own things but no, you own nothing. You transformed, you "crafted", you built but you do not *own*.

In the end, we as a society aren't selfish, the society has made us become selfish. Minecraft allow us to rethink this, in a world where everything is permitted, freedom is the only law.

  2. I always just thought that the mine in minecraft just meant mining, like with a pickaxe, because it's a core function of the game like crafting. Thus the name minecraft.

  3. No space for others in minecraft? Minecraft is fundamentally improved by multiplayer. Do you not know how huge towny is / was? Look into the history of multiplayer server plugins.

  4. The philosophy of this game is not society tearing itself apart at the seams. To say such a thing is to completely ignore the history of multiplayer and group oriented plugins and mods / modpacks. As someone who played this game during the height of tekkit towny and factions, this game is an engine for brotherhood.

  5. This video functions perfectly well both literally and ironically.
It both shows the fundamental superficiality of ownership, and the length at which people will go to criticize a cube game.
