  1. Edit: a bit of the info in this short was incorrect so let me correct it. The Minecraft community named the character "Steve" and "Black Steve" so that can't be held against Notch.

Also, I can understand why the tweets shown in the video don't seem racist, but claiming that race based privilege doesn't exist and doesn't need to be checked is racist.

Also, this entire video is a joke, I don't actually think Minecraft is racist, I just found the white shulker box thing and thought it was interesting, and I needed more than one thing to talk about for a video.

  2. Hey dude! The same thing that happens with shulker boxes also happen with beds! But meh, its probably because then you need to put the quantitiy number and then color number, since well if you do "/give @s/@a/@e/@p ore_tool quantity" you can add a next number after quantity to do its durability!

  3. So athletic Steve was removed because he had sports clothes, and was black? It seems like people are more mad at the fact that he's black. But…. Steve's already Black. Or African American at least

  4. We can’t forget how notch said himself that villagers are designed after Jews for their big noses and excessive greed (in his own fucking words by the way) (I am Jewish myself don’t crucify me)

  5. 1. notch is 100% racist. and transphobic, homophobic, etc. hes a horrible person.

    2. the villagers are 100% an anti semetic stereotype. the big nose, loving money, being protected by golems (creatures heavily associated with and created bt judaism), it is objectively and unabashedly racist.

its totally fine of you like the villagers and golems and stuff, i do. but its important to recognize when media takes inspiration from bad, evil places.

tldr; notch sucks, game has racist elements which are all notches fault, minecraft itself isn't racist.
