This video has nothing to do with speedrunners, 100 days, hardcore, βminecraft butβ, 1.20, Camels, sniffers, hermitcraft, QSMP, trails and tales, or any of those other topics. No MrBeast in this one either.

The most astounding thing about this video is that Fit went two minutes 28 seconds without saying "the oldest anarchy server in minecraft"
My fear is that ill start blowing stuff up in my (or a friends with permission) world and get banned for griefing
Been a while since I agreed with Notch… weird times.
I already rarely play on servers, and this behavior from mojang/microsoft makes me never want to be on multiplayer again
fit now ain't the time for earbud plugs
at this point it'd probably be better to just make an open source minecraft java equivalent, and I mean Java based, using LWJGL, so it would be easier to transition
Should be Server Managed not Mojang Managed, all these new rules and regulations is not good for the community. Its a bit to late for them to try and take a stance against griefing. If anything this just puts more backlash against Mojang for trying to manage everyone.
I think people , Mojang and server hosting should keep white listing on by default
Literally 1984
Iβm fine with them banning based on video. Clearly they were trying to cast a wide net to Ban as much of the 5th column as possible. I think this was an extraordinary circumstance where they knew without looking through videos online they were gonna miss some of these guys alt accounts. They wanted to do as much damage to the 5th column as possible. I donβt think using video evidence will be the norm. I think it was just what had to be done in this specific circumstance. If they start doing it more frequently then Iβll be concerned right now I think the dev team was just being thorough.
That's so well deserved and idk how people can even defend it. It's not like they're on 2b2t doing it, it's personal. Like man, if some random dude joined my extremely private server just to grief it, id be pissed.
Honestly, banning these people hurts mojang more than it does us. If they did nothing, then people who use vanilla servers are forced to buy realms for any sort of protection/security.
Obviously mojang could handle this better, but its like unjustifiable to defend this shit
extremely uncommon notch W wtf???
IMO i think they deserved to be banned but Mojang shouldn't have banned them like they did.
I already did not agree with the whole chat report thing & being banned from the entirety of multiplayer. So I don't agree with this either.
They might have deserved it, but being banned for any more than a year is a bit much outside of a few extreme things.
Retroactive crime yeah sure nice world
Umm, no? Even though griefing is bad, itβs a part of our culture. This is literally ruining our childhoods and future childhoods. Friends will report friends out of spite, but canβt take back the consequences.
I believe this should call for a revision of the EULA and banning conditions, to specifically target these kinds of griefing instead of putting every form of griefing in the same basket
Even though they would have deserved a ban for just harassment, it's stupid that they can't play on any servers now as there is no way for a server to willingly opt out of the global ban system. That's absurd. They should still be able to play Minecraft with their friends.
I believe the griefers deserve bans coming from someone who's been griefed THOUSANDS of time over the course of five years.
I have no sympathy for griefers. They're reaping what they've sown.
Honestly, this is stupid. Considering someone could change their username, what happens if a briefer changes their user, and someone else changed their user to the grieferβs previous one? Would they ban the innocent person or would they check to see if the briefer would have changed their user?
What happens if someone shows up in a grieferβs video but isnβt griefing? Or if the person is friends with a griefer but doesnβt grief themselves and shows up in a grieferβs video??
then WHY DID THEY ADD TNT
Look. If their entire goal in playing minecraft is to login to random servers and grief everything… they should be banned. Case and Point, people who just want to hate and destroy should not allowed to be on the internet.
I bought raycons and they fell out of my ears when I was walking up a hill/driveway and they got ran over when I couldn't find them.
Bich behavior
Mojang should only make good updates. This ain't a good update.
0:13 notch is wearing minnie mouse ears and bowtie LOL wearing small girl parts
Whilst the Fifth Column members got what they deserved, this should be a wake up call for the rest of us.
Images can be faked, videos can be taken out of context. Mojang should tread carefully with intervening.
They may have the power to ban players, but we have the power to make their game irrelevant. And I'd hate to see that.
cross dressing a little bit
The bans handed out to the 5th column were serious warnings not to push their luck further. The extreme and on an professional, almost criminally organized group did it with the intent to harm and destroy as many servers as they could. With the amount of evidence they could have pursed legal actions for the criminal intent of harming more than just servers, to harm the integrity of an online game, paid servers for real money. As an company i have the legitimate interest in ensuring that such harm and sabotage is avoided to keep the game running and profitable. In short they won't ban everyone,t only groups and individuals with criminal intent to cause harm and damage.
lol drama got a video
Minecraft goes woke. Damn. Glad I got to play the game with real freedom for a decade.
Honestly, what about young children who grief, are they going to get banned for 12 years? Because thatβs horrible. Iβd say 1 year at MOST, because by that time they most likely would change.
2b2t won't exist anymore waaaah
Everyone should have seen this coming when Microsoft acquired Mojang.
Microsoft could make Mojang ban mods and modded clients altogether and issue account bans if you launch Minecraft in Online Mode with a modded client. Remember, they have snooper settings on by default that you can no longer turn off.
The logs sent via the snooper can give the info that the client was modded, which UUID was logged into that modded client, the play time, etc.
I'd like to think this would kill off Minecraft if Mojang banned mods, but then again, the Bedrock edition of Minecraft has the larger install base, and that version can't easily be modded, so pissing off the Java playerbase would only result in the playebase being replaced with the younger, more ignorant Bedrock playerbase.
Also getting around the bans is as easy as making a new Microsoft account under a burner e-mail and then signing up for Xbox Gamepass which comes with both versions of Minecraft. $9.99 a month for a burner account that'll get banned within a month vs $40. This is just a vein attempt to set an example. But in the end, Microsoft will just wind up getting a bunch of $10 Gamepass subs.
Liberal cry babies ruin everything
Why ignore the whole "TO CAUSE HARM TO OTHER PLAYERS" and focus so much on the "hacked clients" part? I mean, they abused an exploit to get the IP addresses of thousands of players and then, used that information to invade servers without permission, granted themselves admin powers against the will of the owner of the server, and finally destroyed hours and hours of work of unknown people who didn't do anything to them. C'mon, one thing is griefing in a server with friends or even on an anarchy server where you know the risk and the few rules, but this is a completely different thing. They know perfectly why most of them got banned, trying to argue something else is just a distraction.
Now what? 2b2t becomes Switzerland?
POV a company decides that they want to make their game seem safe for 5 year olds when adults are the main ones that play it
Hah, one of my favorite YouTubers, ThirtyVirus, got a cameo. Cool video!
They were definitely right to take action on the 5th column but the investigation wasn't very good. What they used as evidence can be easily faked
destroy base's guys and don't kill people that's not bullying rigth
Why not just build an automated backup solution into Java Edition's server? Griefing doesn't mean much if it can be mass-erased.
