  1. I miss the times when we got like 3 major updates in a year and they were all (mostly) cool.
    Like 1.2 1.3 1.4 in 2012, or 1.9 1.10 1.11 in 2016.

  2. The smaller “feature drops” is just how Minecraft used to be updated.

    Big, massive updates are nice, but they can severely change the game from one version to another.

    The original update style (now called feature drops I guess), allowed people to adjust to the new changes. See like.. Beta 1.2 to Beta 1.3 when beds were introduced. There wasn’t some huge announcement post saying “THE BED UPDATE” it was just… “Hey this update has beds.”
