  1. If you are in the rain, use a Riptide Trident to fly up and strike mobs with the Mace when you fall down. You can kill the Warden in three hits without even needing to build a large tower. It is literally a god combo, using the two special weapons Minecraft released.

  2. i think one think they could do is remove the crit mechanic for the mace, the de damage doesn't scale so fast. As it is i think it has the potential to remove a lot of use for the axe. The axe already had that kind of damage from critical hits, plus enchantmens to raise the damage, so i think the mace being able to hit kill from so low steal some use of the axe. If the crit is not aplied to the mace, you don't really loose it's damage potential, but you'd have to go a bit higher (and risk a bit fall damage), so the axe would still be better than one block jump attacks from the mace

  3. How does the mace intercats with shields? I think by tweaking it from ignoring shields to blocked hit not counting and attacker dying can really change it impact on pvp.

  4. I still feel that an ability to oneshot any mob or boss with right setupis kinda overpowered. Maybe mods and terraria had bad influence on me. But it still a thing to account for balancing. Or maybe mace damage can be capped at something like 50.

  5. The Mace might become my main weapon. I have a wither skeleton farm, so I already have strength and jump boost beacons all over my world. I can already one-shot a lot of things with Strength + Smite V axe, but the mace will allow me to one-shot endermen too. Plus, I won't have the long attack cooldown of the Netherite Axe (Java obviously)

  6. with the elytra in java it is incredibly easy to just fly into the air, take off your elytra in one click, use the mace, then put the elytra back on in one click again so the mace doesn't really negate elytra at all

  7. Very glad mojang is finally getting back to adding cool stuff to the game. I still feel like its damage needs reduced. Taking 2 hearts of fall damage to obliterate a player in armour is not a fair trade lmao.

  8. I think the mace honestly needs to be a lesson to the community to let Mojang take their time. I'd appreciate if they would communicate with the community more, but honestly this shows we really do need to "let Mojang cook" to borrow ibxtoycat's phrase. I'm pretty excited to see this be implemented.

  9. Outro joke was pretty okay, 7/10. Stop killing horses and Harrison, Toycat! Holy heck, why couldn’t you stick to pigs and, like, zombified piglins, or something? Zoglins? Keep it to a pig theme? I can’t STAND the shrieks horses make when killed; and what you were doing to Harrison was just mean! 😭😭😭

  10. I don't know man. This just seems waaaaaaaaay too OP in PVP. Swords, Axes, Bows, Crossbows, Shields etc.. all will become useless and unwanted. People won't even care about armor. Why do all the hard work to get diamond/netherite armor if you can just lose it all in 1 hit? Just get 1 mace and you're good lol

There is no way it will remain like this. I bet Mojang will nerf it in one or more ways or they will make it possible to counter it somehow like maybe via a new enchantment for the Shield.

I can also see mobile players getting completely crushed by pc players with this thing since it's much easier to manoeuvre with a mouse.

Another thing is that if we can't put Mending on it then not many players will use it since it's gonna be so rare. Not to mention having to increase world size more and more every time you need a new mace.

Then there's the design. It just looks cheap to me. I get that the reason for why it is made out of materials from the trial chambers is so the trial chambers have more new items but I really feel like it should either be craftable via sticks and wood, stone, iron, gold, diamond and netherite like the other weapons/tools or it should just not be craftable and instead be acquired by killing the breeze or another type of boss. Just like how you can't craft a Trident but you can get it from drowned.

It's fun being able to 1 hit k.o. the Warden and Ender Dragon don't get me wrong however I feel like this is not the best change for Minecraft

  11. I wonder if it only registers the player swinging the mace's velocity or if it counts for other mobs/ players speed. Can you smack a mob falling from the sky for lethal damage? Can you yeet your friends as they fly near like a foul ball?

  12. I feel like it'd be better used with the Elytra than just falling, because the former actually takes skill to land a hit.
Also, it's not as precious a weapon as you make it out to be, since you can (bug or not) enchant it in the main version of Minecraft, Java.

  13. Its definitely not balanced for pvp. Pve its like whatever but pvp imagine being able to kill anyone easily with a mace by sinply having a staircase in your base or a ladder. Like someone can pop a notch apple with protection 4 netherite gear and just get insta killed 3 seconds later or even in the time it takes them to eat it. Crazy
