I started learning with Grian, too, but there are other building masters from whom you can learn. Zaypixel in particular is a favorite of mine.

There are 2 tips I can give you
1. Bigger, Taller: Make your houses bigger and taller and you will have rooms for detail. You will need to add details but it will look busy and nice.
2. Pallete: This will be a nightmare to build in survival I think but search it up, you barely need any detailing to make it look good. It's straight up a cheat.
3. Decorate things outside your house: It makes shit houses look good trust me.
For the house you have right now, you need a lot of details. Go search some smp videos or 1000 days with good builds and just copy their window and frame details.
