  2. Honestly I disagree with you on the Minecraft trailer, sure it doesn’t look great, but it’s far from Cheap and Lazy. Firstly, the amount of CGI in this movie is insane, and for almost all of it to look amazing, I’d say that’s far from cheap, sure some of the designs look silly but they still look good. Secondly, one if the reasons is looks so good is because they built almost all of those sets, not only that but they also had Minecraft YouTubers come on to help them figure out some of the game mechanics, like the red stone, so I’d say that not lazy. I don’t think this movie will be the best thing ever, but they sure did put in a lot of effort

  5. People in the live chat seemed to miss the "A" in "A Minecraft Movie", if you watch a BTS video for the movie you'd hear the creators of the game and movie saying that this is just 1 Minecraft story and not "the" story.

    Also, if you watch ANY of the BTS you'll see how much is not simply "green screen", I want so so many of those props!

  10. In my opinion, they should’ve made it like jumanji where people get stuck in the game and have to beat it to get out. Also I’m not sure if I’m accurate but the people here just aren’t that funny.
    Other than that this movie looks like it actually has some potential now

  14. if you played the game, if you look at steve, he is the only one odd inside the game… he can build, can torture, can do unlimited stuff, heck, can be in creative mode and dropping tnt on villager's houses… that's why the movie called A Minecraft movie, not The Minecraft movie… because there a ton of Minecraft movie out there created by fans, and there will be animated series on netflix…

  16. For everyone in the comments complaining about the Astrid casting and just the movie in general. I have one simple answer for you, how about you just…don’t watch it. And for the Nico slander and the “she’s not our Astrid” Dean himself casted her. And, Dean himself has come out to defend her on instagram. Yes she may not look like Astrid but I’m sure she embodies her personality in every way possible otherwise Dean wouldn’t have chosen her. Hate it or love it I don’t care it’s a movie for fans but don’t disrespect or hate on the actors or actresses involved just because they aren’t accurate to the original. As for Nico she’s an amazing actress and so incredibly beautiful and I cannot wait to see this movie

I think the reason Toothless looks half-finished was because DreamWorks was kinda forced to release the teaser early due to the person who had leaked images, that and this is a teaser, not everything is downplay yet this is probably mostly tests of the CGI and character designs, I get the feeling that if their determined to to this Live action correctly, they’ll be updating toothless’ design to look more like he did in the first movie (navy blue with little patterns on his scales) by the time the official trailer drops

    Edit: Also I am really hoping that the Red Death is downright Horrifying, I used to get nightmares because of Smaug as a kid, I’d better get nightmares from the Live Action Red Death too

  22. I feel as though this movie's going to be super fast paced and I can't stand movies like that. 5 minutes in the movie they're going to be in the Minecraft world and you're not going to have any emotional connection to any of these people if they die or not.
