Paul, when you were getting the second book you could have just bought a bookshelf and broken it for the book.
You can use moss blocks as the edge which looks pretty much like grass. Plus you can bonemeal it and it spreads a lot
If you make a mob spawning switch, you can turn it on to prevent mobs from spawning in the end. Then you can kill all of the endermen, then no more will spawn there, so no grass will be moved. Just an idea 🙂

I haven’t watched all the videos so if this is stupid I’m sorry but:
You could decorate the overworld portal like the end so it’s kind of switched.

Our battle will be legendary!
So if you re-summon the dragon it would explode everything so you should find another portal to fight with the dragon.
Can endermen pick up moss blocks?
