I Survived 50 HOURS on a DESERTED ISLAND in Minecraft

Minecraft Viki (video wiki) ➜ https://minecraft.viki.gg

I attempt to survive Hardcore Minecraft while on a deserted island. This minecraft challenge is extremely hard as I can only live off what I find on the island. Can I beat all the minecraft bosses? Obtain overpowered armor? And build my island up to one of the best bases I have built in Minecraft? Watch to find out!

👍 Can we get 30000 likes for 100 Hours?👍

  1. Do you use a mod to increase your brightness? Even on max brightness my minecraft doesnt look like that.
(you'd probably dealwith a lot less mobs if you uused torches a bit more, which lower brightness would encourage cause you cant see much at all without em.
And watching you destroy the skele spawner killed me like 😬
That lighthouse looks cool as heck tho!

  2. Regarding the "i don't why they're faster this way" – it's in real life, too. It's called: crop diversity.
Mainly, it doesn't effect the speed of growth but can have severe impacts on soil quailty, weeds, yields and pests/insects. Basically, you can look at it this way:
Having more diverse fields means you're plants are more resistant against weeds and pests/insects compared to monocultures. They're also giving off better yields. If you rotate your crops (crop rotation) you're able to preserve soil quality, too, since you're looking for nutrient balances.

The Minecraft devs implemented this feature for plant diversification. But, just as it is in real life, you have to weigh potential losses (here in growth speed) against comfort/easiness of harvesting. This is also one example why agroforestry and wheat doesn't go along too well. While it'd be way better for the environment and the plants itself, it's just way more difficult to harvest wheat in that case. I'm happy that we're slowly going back to the roots with farming and these "technologies" and adapting them back in the USA and here in Europe and it's a real nice touch of the Minecraft devs to implement such a feature in a very small way in game, too!
