i use optifine because its so easy to set up and on older versions of optifine all i need to do is download it for like beta 1.7.3 for example and put it into multi mc instance and i have only used sodium once because i forgot and sodium doesnt have zoom feature and other stuff so optifine is for me, but sodium might be for other people
