Overall, it is one of the best mods for Minecraft 1.16.4. Thus, without anymore delay, here is how to download and install Xaero’s Minimap in Minecraft 1.16.4!

The first step of getting a Minecraft 1.16.4 minimap is downloading Xaero’s Minimap. You can find a link to Xaero’s minimap in the description above. When you click that link, it will actually take you to our website where you will find our text tutorial for adding a minimap to Minecraft. Once you are here, just scroll down and click yellow ‘Download Xaero’s Minimap’ button. That will take you to the official Xaero’s Minimap download page.

On the download page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see a version of Xaero’s Minimap for Forge. Click the purple download to the right of that, and your download will begin after a few seconds. You will need to keep or save your file depending on your browser.

You aren’t done downloading just yet. You also need to download and install Forge for 1.16.4 in order to get your minimap setup. You can find our in-depth Forge tutorial in the description above. Go through this tutorial and get Forge installed. You must have Forge in order to add a Minimap to Minecraft 1.16.4.

After you have Forge installed, we can install your minimap in Minecraft 1.16.4. In order to do this, press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. Then, in the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your roaming folder will open up. You will then see a ‘.minecraft’ folder. Open that, and you should see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t see a mods folder, just create one! Open your mods folder. Now, all you need to do to install a minimap in Minecraft 1.16.4 is drag-and-drop the Xaero’s Minimap mod into this mods folder. It’s that easy.

You aren’t done just yet though! You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the launcher, select the ‘Forge’ profile here, and click play. Minecraft 1.16.4 will now open up with a minimal installed!
