Hint #5 isn't totally true. You need to change a gamerule in Java Edition for snow to stack up to the height of a block, but even if you do this, it's technically not a Snow Block. It's considered to be just Snow with eight layers, even though it does drop a Snow Block when mined with Silk Touch.
