Nobody pays enough attention to this, but THANK YOU, Grey for not having a hands-off approach and just lazily getting Bedrock Edition and Truly revisiting the true Minecraft. The true representation of Minecraft.
I've been there for a lot of the streams watching Grey discover and rediscover so many things and being awed by everything. Thanks for making this VOD public. The streams are a lot of fun.
Now what I want to see is Grey be invited to play on HermitCraft. Not as a guest but as a full fledged member. While all the pros are running around going at warp speed on the first day, Grey is discovering what dyed wool is. And he’s absolutely amazed at what they do the first day and the first week and he would still be proud of memorizing all the different recipes, and would have that as a one-up to all the other hermits.
I want to talk about getting bees but because I'm not a member I can't speak in chat. You can get bees at the tech level you have right now. The chat might suggest silk touch but it is highly inefficient, as you don't have the xp, nor the trading hall to get it quickly. A far more limiting but easier method is to grow trees. Bee's nest has a 1/20 chance of coming from grown saplings with a flower next to it. From there you can get honeycomb and craft your own nests, or push them into place with pistons. Crafted beehives don't come with bees though, so you may have to use leads or flowers to get them over to a breeding area. Love your content! Thanks for making the VOD public.
I am thinking this video became public after the members got to enjoy it for a week… if this is the case then I STRONGLY recomend that Grey re-upload it to give it a newer timestamp and pop it into everyone's Subscription box towards the top; make it relevent and these videos will get a LOT more clicks.
Hey Grey, not really sure if you read these but I noticed your streams are a bit laggy at times. If you install CaffeineMC, a bundle of performance optimization mods, then your fps will improve without any actual changes to the vanilla game. You will need Fabric, but the installation is pretty easy.
Yo I remember when all the item IDs were just numbers, so if you wanted to /give yourself something, the command was /give [PlayerName] [ItemID] [Amount] I think torches were 50.
He perfectly emulates exactly how the Minecraft community was reacting to some of these things. Holy crap massive blast from the past. I remember sitting with my laptop watching people get annoyed at things like the recipe book or even villages. Grey if you ever read this: We are in for a treat.
I broke my leg about a year ago and had a similar experience of wonder coming back to minecraft after years every couple of minutes just woooow this is not the minecraft i know i love this video

55:00 Whatching people diging down to the bottom of the world is fun, specially if they're singing dwarves.
Grey told us that no one told him that zombies can break doors in his last stream (his redstone one) but people did! 31:55

Minecraft was the first game I played, and I'm pretty sure it remains my most played game.
