phantoms could be the ghosts of the ender dragons abs which is why the elytra thst is found in the end csn be fixed by phantom membrane
My only thing is that the dragon can be revived with end crystals.
Can you make a theory on
how much the water rose on super Mario sunshine when the water rose out of corona mountain
And how much water was let of in the average time it takes for the final shadow Mario level and how much pressure it was from the small doorway
Also how much the water did in damages
Another thing would be how much water pressure there was when the water was getting out of the mountain

What about when you place four end crystals around the end portal? Summoning a NEW enderdragon… what if the builders trapped the ender dragons and that's the only way to get them out of their prison… just a random thought 🔮

Ok, but what if they made a dragon harder to kill for sport, that they purposefully made it a challenge to kill it. Similar to how hunting is a sport.
Heya Matpat, Im heya and I don't have to much evidence to point to this but here is what I personally think
The elytra isn't the dragon's clipped wings, but rather the wings of the mob who's remains are in the nether. The color doesn't match with the enderdragon wings or have any skeletal structure(I think that is what is attached to the thin wing-ish pieces) on it. Before you point out that the skeletons are ghasts, there not. I think that they were instead giant forms of bugs, hence the name elytra, and the reason as to having wings was to traverse farther in the nether for more food. Since the ghasts could also fly they were the main predator. Ghasts fly way slower than us when we fly but they have a fireball that they mostlikely used to take out the dead mob, even to the point of extinction. It is easy for a player to deflect or even dodge the fireballs as there quite slow, but once the enemy species the fireballs lossed there use and the ghast as a species probally put less energy into that element of them. Hopefully you take my theory into consideration but I haven't had nearly as much time to put into it as you have so yeah

You can respawn the ender dragon by using crystals so if you keep doing this until you get a boy he can make the egg have a baby inside do this again and again and you can try to remake it so there is a full species
Elytra arent craftable, but you can repair them with phantom membranes. Phantoms and dragons are also surprisingly similar looking, structure and ratio wise. Soo, there might be hope?
Morphology isn't always the best way to judge whether or not two species are related though… (See carcination as a great example)
But yep, the ender dragon is totally an endangered species, and we're screwed if they're not capable of asexual reproduction.

You didn't account for being able to respawn the Ender Dragon with those End Crystals you can craft.
This is honestly sad. I have no idea if Notch or Jeb thought this far into the game's lore, but if they did, good on them. The theme of identifying issues in the world is dominant based on all of MatPat's videos and theories. I think I admire them a lot more than when Minecraft was just a place to build and grief for the heck of it.
