A big mistake I’ve heard time and time again, wait till 1.18 if you think the generation is the biggest reason to start again (or better yet, don’t start again 😉 )

Could we generate a world in 1.16 then switch to 1.17?
Why dont they add a new dimension in minecraft like a moon or the aether id love that i believe others will lile it too
Mojang is doing the best they can, they just put the health of their employees over the Caves and Cliffs release which is understandable.

I just looked for the luscious caves and they don’t generate I’ve tried 5 different worlds non of those generated any the only thing that generated was amethyst and the dripstone

Somehow I had fully explored a lvl. 4 map, and when 1.17 hit, in an area I had already explored, dripstone generated!

I found axolotls and everything in a new world but in both old worlds and new worlds there are no new mountains or caves 😭😭 I enabled all the experimental features too and even then nothing!
Also I suggest to not go into an existing world due to this update. It lagged sooo bad

Yeah Mojang kinda messed this one up. They should have poured everything into getting the environmental Caves and Cliffs done and left the other stuff for the later update. People been wanting world height (or world depth) change ever since 1.12 since they created a mod for it. Like that is the biggest thing as the rest of the stuff they added can be found in mostly a lot of basic mods. And heck they said they want to wait and save their sanity with all they have to do but already planning out 1.18 and 1.19. Like really? I love minecraft but I swear Mojang don't do the things that should be pretty simple feature to add or fix in their game like glass stairs, panes/bars that go horizontal or even vertical slabs.
1.18 for the update more than likely be 6 months out now. Been waiting for mods to catch up to 1.16.5 until recently and some of them are still set on 1.16.4. For those that don't know, mods sometime won't work when it switches for minor update changes and it will tell you it has to be updated and even then running mods made for 1.16.5 sometimes wont run on 1.16.4 or back to 1.16.1. Some of the mods when updated could mess up already placed blocks of the mod so they can be removed completely deleting work so its a pain. Glad I watch for these updates, Don't really care about 1.17 now since they removed the actual important things. About as important as 1.15 and their bees. Heck it will be a full year before 1.18 gets close to settling with final updates at this point.

So I have almost a 2 year old server with my friend, but we explored at least 10 thousand blocks from each direction, does that mean I wont see anything new in my server near my home base and hand made town ? 🙁
That's I want to know! Thank you! Back then I used to create a new world when an update comes. Now I don't have to! I'll just go to the area I never went to find amethyst geodes. Thank you again! 😊
This is very good to know cause I started a world about a month before 1.17 came out and I didn’t really wanted to start a new survival world sense I have a lot of good stuff in it all ready

In my world, i only travel around my house, projects like my villager breeder and a few hundred blocks. The spawn too. I dont need to travel that far.
