Preston if you put a bed under the end portal and sleep in it it only works in when you're 2 blocks tall under the end portal you will spawn in the end forever and it is a softlock
Corrections:
Breaking end portal frame with mushrooms: it is possible, the mushrooms you tested with just grew too tall.
Curing zombie villager with golden apple: you need to use a splash potion of weakness on the villager before giving it the apple.
Lightning turns red mushrooms into brown ones: MOOshrooms, not mushrooms.
