This update actually seems kinda legit. At the very least it contains features that are WAY better than the CRAP a lot of people want to see in the game like redstone/emerald/copper armor and tools, automatic weapons, and phantoms. Wait, nevermind the last one, its already in the game

Maybe the giant ant is around endermite sized. A giant for ants.
Also, I think it would be more interesting to have the queen command the ants, with spiders only being hostile if you mess with their webs (which are, unfortunately, everywhere), otherwise they would just attack the ants and scorpions. I think having ants being small but attacking in large numbers, crawling up walls to get behind you would be neat, if annoying. Would probably be a good idea to have a fire source or lava.
Actually, going into a dungeon carrying a campfire to ise against ants sounds great.
